Royal Wedding

So I guess there was a Royal Wedding in some place called "Great Britain" today (Is it a neighborhood in Seattle???).  Not really a concern for me unless they have a little princess for me to marry in the future.  Dad has some plan for me to marry into the Swedish or Danish royal family but that is another goofy Daddy story for later.

William and Kate seemed to have fun but it wasn't as carefree as my day.

Flipping myself over!
New Pajamas!
My Mobile!

No carriage rides to Buckingham palace but all and all a very good day!

Taking Matters Into My Own Hands!

Daddy made me mad tonight.  He put the pear sauce in front of me but didn't feed me.  So I had to take decisive action and grab the spoon and tried to feed myself till he finally got a clue.
Of course he didn't feed me enough so I had to chew on my bib also.  Again, I'm a baby.  I shouldn't be put into this position!
Why was Dad so negligent.  Well, he seemed a little distracted by the giant milk(?) bottle he was drinking.
Next time I'm going to report this behavior to Mommy!

Tired

Today was a busy Wednesday.  I had a full day of eating, pooping, climbing around my Baby Einstein.  It was a lot for a baby like myself.  I of course couldn't resist ending it with a yelling session with my Dad.  I also kept him on his toes by routinely doing flips when he tried to rest me on my boppy.  All and all I was very tired after my last poop and a full belly full of milk.  Nothing better then to curl up in a new pair of pajamas and sleep.

Don't wake me with your booming voice Dad.  Otherwise you will be the one staying up with me instead of Mom.

Sippy Cup

I may be a baby but I am increasing my desire to be more independent.  That is why I hate, yes H-A-T-E it when Mom and Dad force feed me my prescribed 4 ml of benadryl a night.

However, right after my power is taken away from me I usually get a Peter Rabbit sippy cup of water that I get to drink on my own so it kind of takes the sting off a little bit.  I am doing more on my own which makes me proud.

Looking forward to growing-up even more!  I'm only looking ahead now.

Remote Wrestling

Mommy was watching "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen on Bravo.  The show is watchable I guess.  There are bright colors and a lot of yelling between Andy and his guests.  However, I was really in the mood for Sesame Street.  I figured if I could just wrestle the remote away from Mommy I could change the channel and be watching Elmo in no time.  It was a no go in the end but it was worth a try.

I'll be making the channel decisions soon enough : )

My First Easter!

So apparently there is a lot more to Easter then just eggs and bunnies.  I am learning about the resurrection of Jesus but this is a lot for a baby to understand.

I was more concerned about my TWO Easter baskets.  First the one that Mom and Dad gave me.  The rabbit ears were a little silly but were worth the going through to get all the gifts.  Especially the Peter Cottontail book that played music.  Wow!
Then I was in a sailor suit for a SECOND Easter basket at Grandma and Grandpas.
Still, towards the end of the day I wasn't getting all of the attention I needed.  I learned that I could continue the attention focused on me with a few fake coughs.  My first Easter and I want it to be all Jaxon all the time. It was great.

Happy Easter!

Zoo

Mom and Dad took me to the Zoo today.  I was told that I was going to see real life versions of my stuffed animals.  Yeah right.  The only "Zoo" was all the people running around and yelling.  Lots of other indifferent babies also.

The Giraffes I saw were so far away that I might as well have been with my Sophie.  Eventually I saw some Elephants but they were not as exciting as the stuffed Elephant that I got to suck on.
Towards the end of the visit I was was pretty fed-up though.  To be honest I felt like one of the caged animals and wanted to try to bust out.  I roared and bit like a wild beast!  Maybe when I get older I can appreciate the Zoo more.
You can only cage a wild animal like me for so long

E-Trade Baby

So people sometimes say I'm not old enough to make stock trades on my own.  Whatever, I have the experience to run my own finances.  I am six months old.
That's why I am an E-Trade baby!  Or at least I can play one today!  Just get me an account and watch me rock on with my bad self!

Primal Growl

The more my vocal chords develop the more I am showing my primal side.  Dad for some reason thought it would we fun to put we on a pillow and treat me like some sort of "Trick Pony" expecting me to perform like I was in the circus.

No way.  Unless he wanted me to be a fierce lion!  Growl! Roar!  Mess with me again and I'm busting out like one of those Wild Things in that book by Maurice Sendak that Dad reads to me every other night.

Don't test me.  Caged animals can be very dangerous!  I've already shown I'm willing to bite, just wait until I get teeth!

Parrot Meat

As much as I appreciate Mommy grinding food for me like bananas, rice and carrots what I really want is meat.  So I tried eating the parrot on my Baby Einstein tonight.
Unfortunately it wasn't edible.  Doesn't mean I won't try again though.  If Dad won't share with me when he barbecues I'll just take matters into my own hands.

Passover

I learned a bit about the Jewish holiday of Passover on Sesame Street today.  All and all there doesn't seem to be any indication that I am a Jewish baby (The whole religion thing is way way over my head at this point in time) but I kind of wish I was.  I could certainly enjoy ground matzah balls or gefilte fish.

Pesach same'ach!

Tulips

I got to see some tulips on Sunday.  It was fun for a little while.  Sure there were lots of great colors but there was also lots of jostling as Mom and Dad tried to position me correctly for the right photo.  It seemed like every row of tulips had the same situation with parents trying to position their baby just like me.  None of them seemed very happy either.

After the tulip experience we went to "Seeds" a restaurant in La Conner.  Dad and Mom had Boundary Bay beer in cups that were almost the size of tulips!  Now that really fascinated me.  Again they told me I was decades away from being allowed to try one.  I am way more excited to try a beer then see a tulip. Nothing like being denied something to make you want it more!

Bottoms Up!  And not just to get my diaper changed.

Disco Demolition

Dad was busting out with his chest hair today.  For God's sake Dad, button up.  So to make a point I grabbed some of it and pulled it out.

Even though you might have been a baby in the 70s Dad, that era has long passed.  Grow-up.

Disco is done.

Bat Baby!

I have taken to trying to sleep upside down.  Apparently this is a habit of another little furry creature also.
Sad I can't fly though.

Just call me Bat Baby!
Perhaps in the future I can fight crime.  I already know I would be way more of an asset to Batman as Bat Baby then Robin could ever be.

Just waiting for my bat beacon to jump into action.

Beer, the Adult Milk

Dad just brought some beer home today.  Another substance, like cookies that I am forbidden to try.
Daddy's favorite beer is Red Hook.  Interestingly the bottles aren't that much different from my baby bottles.  Still I don't think Dad will be making the mistake that Applebees did and feed me one.  I just live in to much of a controlled environment for now.

Still wouldn't mind trying one of them.  The fact that Dad won't let me have one makes them even more alluring.

Greed : (

But despite the Papaya and Banana mix for dinner all was not well tonight.  Dad couldn't resist watching an episode of American Greed on the CNBC.  Now, I am a baby, so the concept of money is a little abstract.  Basically it seems like the equivalent of milk in the adult world (You have to have it to survive).  Apparently money is something adults have to continually work to get but sometimes adults commit fraud to get it from each other.  It would be like if I did all the screaming and then when the breast was available another baby swooped in and got to drink instead.

What if another baby started scamming my milk from Mom.  Very scary.  Could I sue them to get it back.  Where does a baby go to get legal advice?

I wonder if these guys started out defrauding milk from other people as babies?

I am becoming less innocent everyday.

Papaya Happiness

I had a good day with Mom today.  We made food in the kitchen together.  Mom did all the heavy lifting but I did a good job supervising.  Mom and I mixed papaya and bananas and created a very tasty meal for us.

                                                                            Papaya
                                                                                 +

Cookies!!!!

Mom and Dad made cookies again tonight for dessert.  There seems to be something mystical about the cookie.  People are always eating them and there is even a crazy blue guy on TV who pursues them like some sort of drug addict chasing his next fix.

Sadly, I have been told that I can't eat them till my teeth come.  I don't know what Mom and Dad are thinking.  It doesn't seem to be a problem for the Cookie Monster who has no teeth at all.  To be honest though he doesn't to actually chew them.  It seems like he inhales them instead.
No cookies for awhile.  I had to be content with ground-up guacamole, milk, chewing on fingers and my stuffed giraffe tonight.

A baby does what a baby has to do sometimes.

Winnie the Pooh meet Cinderella

I finally got to meet my friend Kayla who was one of the girls I sent a Valentine.  She is a couple years older then I am and is the daughter of one of my Mom's work friends.  Interesting circumstances.  She was dressed as Cinderella and I came as Winnie the Pooh.

Lots of Princesses were at the party.  I was actually the one little boy around believe it or not.  Sadly they only seemed interested in me for a few minutes and then turned their attention entirely to the cake.

Still quite a few characters at the event to keep me occupied.  Even a baby who was younger then me!  I enjoyed myself thoroughly.  Minnie, Prince Charming, Frogs, Princesses even Little Red Riding Hood!  Of course don't forget Carmen's brother Adam.  Not dressed as anything but kept me excited with all the funny faces we was making.  What a comedian!

Nice not to be the youngest person in the room anymore.

You don't have to go to Disneyland to have a magical experience, just Mountlake Terrace.

Pictures Tomorrow

I was told that I would be having my pictures taken tomorrow.  Very exciting.  Tomorrow I will be bathed, put in my best clothes and will have a photographer depict me in the best light possible.

I am so excited that I am telling Mom and Dad about it all night.  At the top of my lounges.
Looking forward to some modeling.  I'll try not to let it go to my head.  True beauty is on the inside.

The Great Escape (Attempt)

Mom and Dad thought I would be a passive baby and just sleep while they walked through the University Village shopping mall.  No way.  I didn't want to be there, I didn't want to be in my carriage, I just wanted out.  So I made a break for it.  I wasn't strapped in so if I was going to escape it was now.

Hey it was worth a try.  My baby carriage was just too small of a world.  Of course then Daddy strapped me down and I had no other recourse but to go to sleep.

Freedom isn't free.  You have to fight for it.
