Wishing I Would Be Treated More Like An Adult!

So Mommy and Daddy started out the weekend pleased to let me watch the upstairs TV in the morning.  They summoned me so we could all watch a rocket launch as a family, with all the rain I figured it would be us just watching movies together snuggling.

Strangely as the day progressed and they checked social media on their phones they seemed a lot more inclined to allow me to head down to the basement and totally loosened the leash on how much I could play on my iPad.  Well, nothing makes a smart young boy more suspicious when they seem to want to shield me and when I catch images like this on TV when I come up from the basement for dinner and am only offered vague explanations and teaching moments it just makes me more curious and a little concerned.  I appreciate more screen time with my favorite YouTube personalities but it was beginning to seem more like a smoke screen or at least a red herring.  I wish someone would just level with me for once in my life!

The fact that an EMERGENCY ALERT came across my social media feeds TWICE didn't inspire confidence!

Something is suspicious here.

My Daddy Is Cringe!

So in the vocabulary of my Generation who has grown-up on Memes and YouTube and is now dealing with the Corona Virus my Daddy is officially Cringe!

First of all it was very depressing to see that the people who are technically the Elders of My Generation are not taking social distancing at the park today seriously.  All through the week all they seemed to want to do is to strip down to as little clothes as possible and drink beer and get as close to each other as possible!

You would think that my Daddy would act like an adult and lecture them but all he did was take a beer out of his backpack and take a Selfie like he was some sort of YouTube Flexer.

I will create a Meme to tell him how stupid he looks.

Calming Myself With Ivar's Comfort Food

Daddy is determined that we get out and have adventures even if we are going to have to be careful.  Bike rides seem great in principal but all of a sudden we needed to get lunch.  Fremont seemed like the logical destination but when we got off the Burke-Gilman Trail everything seemed set-up to remind me that we are in the midst of a Pandemic.

It was too much for me!  I just wanted to get back to something comforting that will always feel like home to me!  I'm not even 10, this is all very concerning for a child!

Oh the normalcy of the Ivar's Fish Bar and a warm bowl of Chowder even if we had to go to a secluded park as a precaution.  Thank you Mr. Haglund, you probably never expected in 2020 how important you seafood would be to a little Boy!
