My First Leap Year!

Turns out that adults aren't the best at keeping time. For some strange reason February 29th only occurs once every four years! God adult time keeping is strange.

Well, still kind of unhappy I wasn't born on February 29th. I'm not saying that I mind growing-up but it does happen kind of fast. I wouldn't mind being a little boy a little longer . . . like maybe fifty years!

I'm just saying . . .

Burning Off Some Energy

As usual, after a good nap and lunch I had a lot of surplus energy to burn. Unfortunately, if I do not get attention the positive energy turns negative really quick. The situation was not improved when Daddy took me upstairs and put the gate up.

Oh I was mad! I decided to make a scene and throw as many things as possible down the stairs. Grrrr!

Next time I have energy take me to the park Daddy!

I LOVE My Trucks!

It may be a few years before I can drive my Big Rig from one end of the country to the other but that doesn't mean I can't practice a bit.

Or perhaps I will use it to transport material around! These vehicles just seem to have so many possibilities!

The great thing about toy trucks is I can park quite a few in the house. In the future I will need to petition Mommy and Daddy for a larger driveway!

Sadly, Mommy told me she didn't want me to become an adult with a bunch of trucks hanging-out in my yard.

Vroom!

Learning to Play with Doggies

We went to Granite Falls today to visit Auntie 'Brina. Her family have quite a few dogs. I kind of have mixed views on these creatures. They can be playful and are fun to snuggle with but they can sometimes be a little rough. I'm not saying I dislike being licked, just sometimes I am not in the mood.

Safe to say, I was fairly resistant to playing with them at first. I really didn't feel like getting a lick today.

But nothing like a health dinner to change my attitude. I was totally off the leash. It was so much fun to toss the ball and see them run!

Hopefully I can have five dogs when I grow-up! This is way cool!

Woof!

Tailgating with Krispy Kreme and Rugby!

We had a few more bottles of wine to get from the sale at the Wine Outlet today, of course that doesn't really benefit me since I am banned from even tasting that beautifully colored drink.

So, I cried a bit. Thankfully this prompted Daddy to take me to Krispy Kreme while the shopping continued.

Nothing like a chocolate doughnut to lift by spirits.

Apparently this was equivalent to my first tailgating experience. A great meal before an exciting sports event. My parents didn't disappoint either. We finished the day with an exciting Rugby game in Magnuson Park.

Wow! These guys are way more intense compared to the Football Daddy watches. Mommy told me not to play like this with my friends!

Crayons!

The Moms took the 4N Gang (corbiN iaN beN jaxoN) out on a massive play date today. It started with a fun trip shopping at the Wine Outlet. Yeah, yeah, the Moms got a few looks loading up on wine with their babies . . . but it wasn't like they were popping corks with us there!

After that it was lunch and all about us! I celebrated by sharing my crayons with Ben. After that I showed him how to eat them! Mommy predicts she will see them in my diaper later tonight.

Hey, they tasted good going down!

Looking into Careers

I visited Papo today. If the whole Dinosaur Handler profession doesn't take off I may look into Architecture.

Hey, once they allow me to design houses with crayons I could probably skip a formal education.

I'm just saying . . . I think I'm a natural. Especially when it comes to using sketches as clubs.

Becoming Friends With The Vacuum

I am becoming less scared of the Vacuum recently. Mainly because I realize it is less of a threat. Getting closer to it I realize it couldn't suck ME up. Realizing this I through a bunch of my "Smiley Face" crackers for the specific purpose of feeding the Vacuum.

It was fascinating the way the just disappeared into the thing. Still, as a precaution I am going to keep my little fingers away from it.

I am a cautious baby!

Dinosaur Handler

In preparation for my career raising Dinosaurs when I grow-up I practiced on Pleo, the family Brontosaurus.

When dealing with a Dionsaur, even a gentle one like Pleo it is important to use proper equipment. Goggles are required, especially when you chew on the tail.

Meeting A Middle Schooler

Very fun. I went over to Papo and Deeda's and met Ani! This is a part of life that I had previously not known about. I have heard a lot about being in high school and college but "Middle School" seems like a whole different world.

I guess there is one extra stage between being a baby and an adult.

Pretty cool! Ani was real fun and gave me all sorts of attention. She also wasn't as boring as the adults I hang-out with. I appreciate someone who is older but not as ancient as my parents!

Go Young People!

My First Pho!

Mommy and Daddy used to eat quite a lot of Pho before I was born but they held off taking me until my little tummy was ready . . . well tonight I was ready!

So fun, Pho is from Vietnam and just like when we eat Chinese food they gave us chopsticks!

Of course that kept me busy enough but when the Pho arrived I truly feasted! For some reason they decided I wasn't ready for the sriracha sauce yet no matter how much I pointed and yelled for it but that was the only drawback.

I lapped it up and spilled it all over my clothes. Hey, Daddy was doing the same thing! Like Father like Son when it comes to Pho!

A Trip Across The Pond

Me and Ben decided it was time to visit our friends Ian and Corbin today. So we packed our bags and started the long journey across the pond, or as adults call it, Puget Sound.

Hey, if you are going to have a long ferry ride it might as well be with a friend and lots of water in Sippy Cups!

But when we finally got to Bainbridge . . . Jack Pot! Lots of toys, sweets and our friends.

Yeah, yeah, even with all the fun I still got clingy and tired at the end of the trip and had to be put to bed but hey, I'm only a little over a year old. Don't judge me by adult standards!

Time for Some Sugar Cereal

You have to hand it to the marketers at the grocery stores. Nothing like putting all the bright and colorful stuff right at kid level.

This is something I will definitely need to investigate!

Unfortunately I didn't have the cart at my level. I proposed that Papo and Deeda let me take one home but they were having none of it. They were content to just take pictures.

It would have been fun if they had returned me to Mommy and Daddy on a massive sugar high but it never happened.

It stayed safely in the box. : (

Taking Care of Mommy

With my continued interaction with other children and as well as adults I am learning about sharing. Turns out I don't have to take everything for myself. Sharing is not only nice but it often creates reciprocity.

That is why I made sure Mommy got some water tonight.

She wasn't as enthusiastic as I was about the whole drinking water thing so I had to be a little more forceful.

It is important to keep my Mommy properly hydrated!

Valentines Day is Here!

It was all about love today. I may be a little Lothario who sends out Valentines to all the girls in my life . . . but the real squeeze will always be my Mommy.

Especially when Daddy forgets to get her a card! What a naughty Daddy I have!

I think I will shoot him with one of my arrows as punishment! Not so he will fall in love with Mommy, that is a given, just to cause him a little pain so he remembers next year.

Welcome Home Daddy!

I had a great day with Mommy, we read books, cooked and played with cars! Still something was missing . . . where was Daddy!

I know he works everyday downtown as a Super Hero fighting crime but sometimes I don't like to share him.

All of a sudden I heard the door knob turn!
It was Daddy! He was a little late but he still came home! He must have had some extra criminals to defeat at the "Insurance" office.

I was super happy so I chewed on his nose a bit. It is just the way I show ownership for my parents!

Enjoying Some BBQ

Alright, they didn't use a real steel pig, it was more of a crock pot, but the pork sure tasted good!

I know a few little piglets had to go so I could enjoy this but I honestly can rationalize that they are going to a better place!

Oh well, life is too short to reflect too much!

Pass the barbecue sauce!

A Happy Day At The Park

What a day, turns out there is a park right down the street from me! Now unlike the version of myself a few months ago I am no longer content to just hang in the swing like a sack of potatoes.

If I am not being pushed I will let them know but if I do get pushed I will reciprocate with joyful squeels!

I know, I know . . . the equipment said it was designed for "Children 5-12" but that didn't deter me.

I don't have time to wait for four more birthdays!

The Fork . . . Getting a Little Ahead of Myself

Mommy took me to Specialty's Cafe today. Usually I have a playdate but all my friends were being quarantined due to various health issues so Mommy and I went on a lunch date.

We tried a fork out. A very fun piece of technology I have to say but still a little ahead of me. I first thought it was a straw and tried to drink out of it I mean I love driving around in the family car but honestly you shouldn't put me behind the wheel yet.

I hope I didn't disappoint Mommy but I riverted to my normal "Eating with my hands" technique.

It may be a little primal but it gets the job done more efficiently at this point in my life.

Ninja Baby!

I am becoming more dexterous day by day. I am silent and deadly. Daddy left his cell phone within my grasp and almost instantly I had grabbed it and tossed it accross the room! Kind of like a Throwing Star!

As my skills develop through training I am becoming a true Ninja Baby!

I'm still developing my skills on the carpet but soon I will be jumping over rooftops at night!

Bonzai!

Making MY Mark at the Conservatory

On Sunday while we were in Volunteer Park we dropped by the Conservatory. We got to see plants from all around the world in all sorts of shapes and colors. I was very fascinated!

Since I have my Daddy's long arms grabbing them was not a problem. Hey, as long as I am looking at them I might as well feel the texture.

Hey, if I bend a flower or two it's no big deal.

Best of all Evening Magazine did an expose on the Conservatory tonight and they filmed the exact flower I bent!

I'm glad to be making a mark outside the house!

Koala + Penguins = Jaxon

Wondering what the Koala Bear and Penguins have to do with me. Well, Daddy decided that if there were any animals out there that I was like it was a combination of these two.

Daddy also didn't have any other images on his work computer besides a jelly fish and was having trouble with the family computer tonight so he used these stock photos.

So tonight . . . just enjoy the high resolution nature photography.
