Earning My Dinner

Mommy made her Swedish Meatballs tonight which was great . . . but then she called me her little Swedish Meatball!
That might have been me a couple of years ago but not today!  Still, I was a bit sensitive about my implied pudginess!
Thankfully the BOWFLEX commercial was on so I was able to follow along with an intense workout!
Yeah, I'm a Swedish Meatball if you mean I am a Beefcake!
Enjoying my reward.

While The Cat's Away

Since Christmas is over and I got all the presents I wanted I figured it was time to get a little naughty.

I mean why not bend a few rules.  I know what Santa Claus is up to now and it isn't spying on children.
After the day he had yesterday he probably won't be up for a week!
That means it is time to get a little rowdy!
See that bucket of toys.  Get ready, it is getting thrown on the floor.  One, two, three!
Gotta love December 26th!  No matter how much trouble I get into today I have nearly a year to make it right!

Apple Scratcher For Christmas!

Oh My!  It does look like Santa visited last night.  He didn't eat all the cookies but that is understandable, I'm sure he had a lot of houses to visit and he had to pace himself.

The only question is what gift was I going to open first?????
Oh yeah, nothing makes opening presents a pleasing experience like getting exactly what you were dreaming of on the first present you open.
Oh the "Apple Scratcher" had arrived.  I had mentioned this to Mommy earlier but I wasn't sure she would follow through.
I will never have the indignity of skin on my apples again!

Twas The Night Before Christmas . . . . Not Even A Jaxon Was Stirring

The excitement had been building all week. I still can't read a calendar very well so I had to ask Mommy and Daddy if it was Christmas everyday this week. Well tonight there was no doubt, it was definitely Christmas Eve!

I had been very diligent about telling Santa Claus exactly what I wanted and I had taken extra care to be good.  I know what  is expected of me.
Still, as the excitement grew I couldn't control myself, before I could catch myself I was misbehaving!
The threat came out, Daddy told me he had Santa on speed dial and could call him back at a moments notice.
No way was I going to risk coming so close only to blow it.
I figured a guy with Santa's appetite would appreciate a bribe of some cookies and milk.  If I could at least get the guy down the chimney he would forget any minor transgressions once he was munching some cookies.
I reverently put them in place.  I think I am going to make it to the finish line!

Gentle

We have a great family heirloom.  You light candles on the bottom and the heat causes the propeller to spin.  I was SO enthusiastic about it and intrigued by it that somehow I broke one of the blades.  Oops!

Well, just like magic Papo returned it today.  Phew!  After the talking to that Daddy gave me I thought it was destroyed forever.

The word of the day was "Gentle".

Three Years Already!

I have been Blogging for three years as of today.  I remember when I first started collaborating with Daddy  on this thing.  Back then I was too chubby to even walk!  All I could really do was point.

Yeah, things have changed a bit in the last three years- with starting pre-school, getting potty trained and moving into a new bedroom.

The crazy thing is these three long years are just the beginning.  I've got a lot to look forward to.

He Take Potty Daddy!

By the time I really get into football Marshawn Lynch will have long since retired so I probably won't remember him as a Seahawk.

However, it seems that when he retires he already has a new job lined up.  He will be a plumber at Beacon Plumbing!
I have got to say- his plumbing skills are quite impressive.  He doesn't mess around.  Unlike Daddy who fixes toilet problems with lots of trial and error while on the phone with Papo, Marshawn just rips the potty from the floor with his bare hands!  Problem solved- you can just use the giant hole as a potty instead.

I am impressed with his take charge style!

Daddy's Nose Was Made To Be Honked!

I got a few things from Daddy in the DNA soup.  I have real gangly arms and legs just like him.  One thing I didn't inherit from him was the nose.  I have a cute little button nose like Mommy.

Not saying I can't appreciate it though.  Tonight I couldn't stop honking the thing.
Daddy's giant nose is going to mean lots of fun over the years!

Celebrating My Big Brother's Birthday!

No I don't have an older brother that I have been hiding all this time but I do have the equivalent.  He lives across the street and his name is Cole.

He had turned 6 today and had a Birthday at Arena Sports.  Now, because of his age all the kids were older than me but like a true Big Brother he watched out for me and made me feel welcome.

Check me out far left making funny faces with all the Kindergartners.  I felt like such a Big Boy!
Of course as his surrogate Little Brother even though I deferred the attention to him I thought it only fitting that I sit at the head of the table with him.
Of course what is a party without a little flirting!  Hi there.

Maybe Cole will give me some tips on women in the future, Big Brothers are great for those pointers.

When Daddy Was My Age He Walked Three Miles In The Snow To School . . .

.  . . Well of course not.  He lived a very charmed life as a Toddler but that didn't mean he wasn't laying it on this morning.

Daddy told me that I had nothing to complain about.  When HE had just turned three years old he had just gotten a Baby Brother!

Yeah, the attention of Daddy was cut right in half when he was my age.  Still, his argument that life became rough for him when Uncle Mark appeared doesn't seem to hold up when looking at the photos.
Thank God I have an Uncle!
Yeah Daddy, you still better never tell me I have a brother on the way though.

Bridge Building

The builder in me was in full swing tonight.  I decided to build the Fremont and University Bridge in the living room.  Not a bad night's work.
I have got to say, I think I did a pretty good job when I viewed my handy work.
I know, I know, if my model was going to be accurate I should have built an Aurora Bridge in the middle.
I just couldn't find a suitable Troll replica in my toy box.

The JaxonCracker

Christmas decorating continues and today the Nutcrackers came out.  Nothing like a toy with a mouth that could take a finger off to inspire the imagination of a young boy.
Tchaikovsky's music played in my head as I played-out my Nutcracker fantasy on the carpet.  I'm a little vague on the plot but I know it involves fighting rats with swords which is good enough for me.

I guess there is also a part where the Nutcracker turns into a Prince.  Well, I don't know about a Prince but I just found the ones that will turn into Daddy and Papo!

Oh, I forgot to tell you, the one that is dressed as a Jester will become Me!
But not before I slay the Rat King in an epic duel!
Oh the wonderful imagination of a 3 Year Old!

Out and About

Mommy and Daddy thought it was best that we spend the afternoon away from the house.  Apparently they don't trust me around drying paint.  Fine by me, it was getting stuffy in there anyway.

Now that is a tree!  I absolutely had to touch one of the bulbs.  I know, I know, there was a fence around it but Daddy said rules are made to be followed but bent to the breaking point.
The way we looked at it, only the bulbs covered by the fence were supposed to be off limits.
I did my best to help foster kids by riding the carousel three times.
I also visited those arrogant models at the Nordstrom Rack.  If they aren't going to talk to me I will pick-pocket them.

Goodbye Mandela! Thanks for Making the World Better for my Generation!

Kind of odd to imagine that when Mommy and Daddy were my age there was still a place where people were discriminated against because they had a different skin color.

Thank you Nelson Mandela for making that place change in a peaceful way.

Well he left us today at the ripe old age of 95.  Sadly, he didn't get a chance to make it to my house to shine the light on some of the oppression I have to deal with on a daily basis (8:00 Bedtime, 10 minute baths).

I guess I will need a different standard bearer.

Keeping Daddy At Arms Length

Daddy has been a little "Under the Weather" this week so he has gone to bed the same time as I did.  Though I don't mind Daddy around as added protection against Monsters I really don't feel the need to snuggle with him.

Sorry Daddy, you will never be as soft and smooth as Mommy.  I will stay on her side of the bed in anticipation.  Doesn't mean I didn't have one hand on him though-  Just as a precaution for a Monster appearing- I wanted him to be alerted at a moments notice.  Kind of like pulling the Fire Alarm.

Learning Football With Mr. Jasen

My Daddy is great, but he kind of drops the ball (Both figuratively and literally) when it comes to teaching me the fundamentals of football.  Yeah, Daddy was happy to go to the Monday night football event with my classmates but all he wanted to do was talk about the Sonics.  Come on Daddy, get on the bandwagon!  Mr. Jasen doesn't need to hear about the glory days of a team that left Seattle years before I was even born!

Lucky I have Mr. Jasen as a teacher.  I kept coming back to him all night so he could explain the details of this fascinating game and possibly give me some ideas about what position I should be playing.
Yeah, the Seahawks didn't have any trouble dismantling the Saints.  I think I see my calling if I can get more people in my life to encourage my aspirations!

Touchdown!

Black Friday is like the Olympics for my Mommy!

I enjoyed Thanksgiving again this year.  It is great to have the whole family get together and of course I appreciated getting to spend a little quality time with my second cousin "Benji".

But this year I discovered something far more exciting and it had nothing to do with Turkey and Family- and it occurs the day after.
So much excitement from Mommy on Black Friday, it was like she was playing one of those video games that she abhors but she was having so much fun, I got into it also.  Oh yeah, we nailed getting that new pair of sheets for a bargain price and we didn't even have to get off the couch!

Shopping is Mommy's passion and this day allows her to shine.
