Preparing for Halloween!

So in the last couple of weeks I went to Hawaii, had a Birthday and now am getting ready for Halloween!

I can't wait, but first things first, I need to carve a pumpkin.

I tried to reassure the pumpkin that everything would probably be okay, but the process of turning a Pumpkin into a Jack-O-Lantern would definitely be painful and he might even be killed.  Hey, sometimes you can't pull punches.  Something could very easily go wrong!
Hey, does this look like it will be painless.  What surgery isn't?!?!
Another pumpkin grows-up!

I'm Back!

Why haven't I been blogging the way I should have?  One word . . . Hawaii!

In the run up to the trip I was just too excited to blog and when I was there, sorry, getting on the internet was not a high priority for me at all!

Hard to be bored in this state.

Oh, did I mention I met someone pool side!
Nothing like meeting someone in Hawaii who lives in Washington.
I had just as much fun hanging with Jayla at the pumpkin patch in Issaquah today as we had at the pool in Lahaina!

Well that put the MAX in IMAX!

Well that was intense.  I've seen a couple movies now but a 3-D IMAX is a totally different experience.   Talk about a sensory explosion.

I was a little bit confused at first, I mean what was with these glasses.  Daddy had mentioned that the Sharks in the movie would pop out of the screen at me but I had zero frame of reference so it was all a little mysterious, but what the heck, I'll try anything once.

Well, that was the last time I wasn't at the edge of my seat.  It was a little scary when the lights went out but once I had one of Daddy's fingers tightly in my hand I knew everything was going to be alright.

The mystery of why I couldn't touch the Shark that seemed to be floating right in front of me will forever mystify me in the end but why ask why.  Just accept that 3-D is REAL cool.

Game Day!

Today was a rematch of the Super Bowl, Seattle and Denver go head to head at "The Clink".

Were we as excited as our parents, I would say we were more excited, hey, we are kids!  Just give us sugar and balloons and anything is fun!
Unfortunately my Hawks 12th Fan shirt didn't make it to kick-off.  I had a little too much fun tailgating at the park beforehand with water and sand.
Lucky I had a color coordinated shirt to throw on so I could watch an overtime victory!

A Night With Uncle Mark

Today I finally got to visit Uncle Mark's new digs.  Not bad, this whole concept of an "Apartment" was a little alien to me, not being able to yell as loud as I usually do because of other people on the other side of the walls was a different concept but besides that I had a ball!

Mommy and Daddy would never stand for this while they were making dinner but Uncle Mark just took it like a man.

Yeah, sometimes you have to visit the extended family to gain a new life perspective . . . and boy did Uncle Mark have some wisdom!

Feeling A Little More Grown-Up!

Where have I been for a week?  Hey, chill, I had a VERY short Summer Vacation and it is tough for a little guy to get back into the swing of preschool!

Daddy usually takes me to the Happy Meal Place on Friday, it is kind of a Father and Son ritual.  But I have always wondered . . . where does he go later that night to feed Mommy????

Well, tonight I got to go with him!

Turns  out Mommy and Daddy have a secret addiction to Trinidadian food they haven't told me about.  I was kind of disappointed, Daddy should have taken me to Pam's Kitchen a long time ago.
Did I end up eating Roti and Dahlpuri that night?  Of course not, my little palate isn't there yet but I was shown a lot of island hospitality and that is all this little boy really needs!

Nothing like a whole restaurant staff paying attention to you!

A Rewarding Summer Vacation

I did more than just play this Summer Vacation.  Some kids go to camp, well I couldn't squeeze that in but can they say that they possibly saved a life!

The day in the San Juans started out innocently.  I was doing my chores dutifully keeping the chickens fed but then I noticed something . . . .

. . . the sheep eating the berries by the fence hadn't moved in nearly twenty minutes!

After I drew some attention to the situation it was evident, the sheep was stuck!

I was a little disappointed in the way Mommy and Daddy handled it, this was an EMERGENCY and they just were busy taking selfies while Papo and his friend Thurston were getting the wire cutters.
I was disappointed that they didn't seem to take the situation as seriously as they should have but regardless, everything ended up alright.
Hopefully that sheep will learn, sometimes blackberries just aren't worth the risk!

Schools Out For Summer!

I was a little curious about this whole "Summer Vacation" thing.  Seems like I have been spending the entire Summer going to pre-school.

Well, turns out Summer Vacation has finally started.  We went to pre-school today only to learn it was closed UNTIL LABOR DAY!

Guess its nothing but fun until September!  This will probably be the only surprise Summer Vacation I will ever have.

Standing-Up For My Property Rights!

As an American Toddler I come from a long heritage of defending property against arbitrary taxation.  Defense of liberty is just something that is in my blood!
Daddy was acting a little too much like King George tonight.  He seems to think that because he pays for my meal at Taco Time he is allotted as many of my Cinnamon Crostos as he wants.

Well tonight I finally held my ground!
Sic Semper Tyrannis!

Living Large at the Fair!

Oh my annual trip to the fair.  Best of all this time I could move around on my own and boy did I take advantage.

Last year there is no way I would have been able to try and win a goldfish or load my very own cannon.
And I certainly wouldn't have been able to walk right up and start talking-up the cute FFA girl!
Yeah, getting older and being able to walk sure has its advantages!

A Pleasant Sand Person!

Today I had an agenda, get into as much SAND as possible.  Generally, Daddy is wary of me getting into this stuff at the park since I always have a way of tracking it home but today he was feeling guilty after working Saturday so he loosened the rules.

I hit up the sand lots at both Magnuson and Gas Works Park, it was great!

Yes, I was truly a Sand Person today, but a lot nicer than the ones Daddy knew of when he was a child!

Too Excited To Blog!

Yeah, yeah I know I have been a bit slow to blog this week but there is just way too much excitement in the air.

Yeah, you know what time of the year it is!

The only thing that gets me in trouble is that sometimes I feel the need to comment a bit too much when I see the Great White jumping out of the water to catch a seal.

I thought Interactive TV was the wave of the future!  Mommy and Daddy are just a bit old fashioned in their TV watching technique.

Channeling Argentinosaurus

To think that Daddy didn't even know what an Argentinosaurus was when he was my age.  His only real reference was the Brontosaurus that didn't even exist!

There really wasn't anything that could rival the raw power of this thing, kind of like me.
I know, humans have evolved to where we can eat with knives and forks now but sometimes you just have to get back to your roots.  I may not be directly related to this thing in the true evolutionary tree but I am definitely related to it in spirit!

My Second Facebook Post!

It has been awhile since my last Facebook post but since then all sorts of new ways to be a narcissist have come along.  Mainly Instagram and Selfies!

Some people have become masters of this and this week they were all in Ibiza.
As I understand it Justin Bieber said some naughty things to Orlando Bloom and almost got punched.
Meanwhile Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian made up after nearly a ten year falling-out.
Meanwhile, Kanye West was just around being Kanye.
Oh my, Ibiza sounds like the place for the ultimate "Play Date" even if the children our grown-ups now.

Who really cares about all this, well apparently Mommy does.  I found it fascinating also so I "Shared" it on her Facebook page when she was cooking dinner.

I figure if Mommy isn't going to share her interests I will!

Some Real Fun For Seafair!

Another Seafair and today I didn't have to watch it from a distance.  This weekend we got deep into the action.

People are attracted to this event for different reasons, I'm not saying that I don't understand why people are interested in these things but we found something far more entertaining.
Going as deep into the waters of Lake Washington to test how much we can alarm our parents!

That Was Just Too Much!

Emotionally I am a fairly balanced Toddler but today I was pushed to my limits.  No sooner had Mommy woken be up from a nap than Daddy was taking away from her so she could go to a hair appointment.

I was not amused!  Good thing I can make myself heard.

In the end the people at the bank Daddy went to gave me a sticker and the ice cream sandwich didn't hurt either.
Yeah, deep in my heart I guess I knew Mommy would be back eventually, still, the wait was rough.

Limits Of Play-Doh

Daddy had a very simple task tonight.  MAKE ME A SPINOSAURUS!

Sadly, tonight I learned the limits of Play-Doh and to think it used to seem like it had so much promise.

Instead of the promised Spinosaurus the result was kind of a sick looking Dimetrodon.  Very disappointing!

With results like this I don't know what the heck this kid is so happy about.  He must have low standards.

Ready To Help!

As a Washington State Toddler I am always looking out for the well being of my state.  So I was pretty upset to hear that we are having the worst fire season in recorded history!  Yipes!

Well, I'm not going to take this sitting down.  Especially with all the hard work that the firefighters are going through!
All the Forest Service needs to do is to give me a call.
I wonder if they will want to parachute me in?
