Getting Into the Rhubarb!

I sure do love Rhubarb after I had some cobbler a few months ago but it has been in short supply lately.    So today when I saw some at QFC I took matters into my own hands.  If I need to I will just eat it raw.
Yeah I know we were supposed to pay for it first but what are they going to do, prosecute a toddler, that is Mommy's problem.
Such good stuff, maybe next time I will be able to wait until we get home and Mommy can actually cook it into something.

Clear and Present Danger!

Scary!  It seemed like nothing would get in the way of Daddy writing my blog but I guess I didn't count on the new season of Arrested Development arriving on Netflix!

Honestly Daddy, how can you expect to keep up with my fans when you drop the ball by watching three episodes of this a night.

Remember Daddy, this blog is a Family Business just like the Bluth Company.  We all have to do our part to keep it going.

Don't drop the ball the way George Bluth Sr. did Daddy!
I don't have the experience of Michael Bluth to turn things around.  I won't even be able to type for another couple of years.

Don't make me grow-up too fast Daddy!

My Friends Have Arrived!

Abby and Max finally arrived from the mystical land of California.  Boy was it a party at our house!

Sweet, this was the most relaxed we were the entire day as we fed off of each others energy.  It was intense.
We are the perfect threesome.  I almost forgot how much I love just being alone with Mommy.  Maybe I do need some siblings!
Well, maybe it is rental siblings that I really need.  I don't think there is room for two more in this picture.
Still, I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Moving Up!

Well, I should have moved up earlier but I am no longer a Thumper at Lil' Kickers.  There were some issues earlier on in my professional soccer career, apparently I don't follow instructions as well as I should.  I am a bit of a Maverick.

Next season I am going to be a Cottontail!  Yeah, I didn't move up as fast but now look at Me!

Keeping The House Protected

I sure love my house.  Therefore, it is important for me to protect it from FIRE!  We got busy.  It is important that all the smoke alarms function.  Thanks for the help Papo!
It is important that all the batteries function correctly.  Today I learned that all the smoke detectors are connected so it is important to make sure there are no weak links.
Protecting the house is VERY serious business.  I intend to grow-up in this house, I don't want it to burn down.
Doing my part.  Remember, everyone is a safety officer!

House Party!

When you get a new house it is necessary to have all your friends over for a House Warming Party!

Oh did we have fun!  Did I mention that I was the first Toddler in my group of friends to have his own house!

Well, I didn't brag but I was feeling a little smug.  Hopefully having a party for my friends will avoid any jealousy down the road.

A Toddler's Home is his Castle

I'm not saying I mind living with Mommy and Daddy but I figured it was time I got a place of my own.      Thankfully, Aunt Ashley was willing to help me out today!

Don't worry Mommy and Daddy, I'll be back for meals.  It's just nice that I can feel independent now!
Oh the pleasures of home ownership!  Hopefully Aunt Ashley won't try and make me pay back the loan anytime.

Finding the Source of Mommy's Pedicures

Daddy and Me went to pick-up a gift for Mommy today.  Oh my!  I didn't know a Pedi could be so much fun.

Daddy seemed content to just buy the gift certificate and leave but NOT Me.  If Daddy thought we could just leave without me getting some much needed attention from the techs he was mistaken.

There is nothing like a bunch of women surrounding you and feeding you strawberries!
Yeah, life is good.  I'm going to start coming here for pedicures also!  I think I would look good in mint green toenails also.

Some Inspiration For Potty Training

I am going through the process of Potty Training.  The great thing is that Mommy has set-up a reward system for me.  Five Pee Pees in the Potty gets me a character from "Cars".  Oh boy did I want Finn McMissile and I wanted him today!

Boy was I inspired also.  Mommy even had Finn call me in the morning to give me a pep talk.  I was ready!

Through the day I drank lots of water and held back the temptation to get instant relief in my Huggies.  Well, by bedtime it was worth it!
Count them!  Five stickers in a row.  Finn McMissile was mine!
Get ready for some action!  A Secret Agent has just been unwrapped!

Finding New Ways To Try And Get My Way

Sometimes it can really irritate me the way Mommy doesn't fall into line when I want something.  Well, if my yelling doesn't get the point across perhaps some water from the hose in your face will get the message heard better!

Well, turns out Daddy was one step ahead of me.  The water had been turned off a long time ago.  Grrr!
It wouldn't have been so bad had Mommy not laughed at me also.  Talk about adding insult to injury!

I guess picking me up and kissing me afterwards made things a little better.

The Little Emperor

The entire family visited China Village last night and I got to see my friend Amy the owner.  We have been friends for a long time. Since I was born in the Year of the Tiger she refers to me as her Tiger Baby!

I accept this name, I can be quite the Tiger if I want to be but last night I learned about a new Chinese name that really fits me.

Amy told my parents about a trend in China . . . the Xiaohuangdi or Little Emperor.  Because of the Chinese "One Child" policy the children over there grow-up to be overly entitled and spoiled.

I contemplated this while eating my leftover Steamed Rice and Lo Mein tonight.  Honestly, being a Little Emperor sounds like a pretty good deal!  Servants, Gifts and Well Cooked Food seems like a good way to go through life.

Logging the Yard

Daddy and Papo decided that our yard needed a makeover.  Apparently there were two trees that no longer looked right.

When they decide a tree has to go they don't mess around.  They take out a chainsaw!
Seeing a tree fall made great theater for Dominic and Me but what I really wanted to do was get in on the action.
I made sure to help out.  The job required at least three MEN and I was going to play my part!
I really needed a cold one after all that work in the yard.  Thank God for the garden hose.  Keeping the yard looking good is hard work for a toddler.

My First Opening Day

I am quite the Nautical Toddler so it was very important for me to start being a part of Opening Day as soon as possible.

Oh it was so wonderful!  Unfortunately, I don't have a sailboat (Yet) but it is only a matter of time.  Regardless, I was still fixated on the ones going through the Montlake Cut.

Oh, did I tell you I met the Husky Cheerleaders as they cheered on the UW to Rowing victory!
My parents are trying to raise me as a Husky so this helped with my indoctrination!

The Rewards Of Potty Training!

Well I did it today!  Oh did I make Mommy proud.  I went Pee Pee in the Potty.  I didn't even really think about it, I just did it!

All my effort paid off!

I was rewarded with a new Cars character (Holley Shiftwell) and a new hat!  Oh my!  With a reward system like this I am going to learn how to be Potty Trained in no time!

Feet ARE Invited to the Table!

Mommy made a wonderful pasta dinner tonight.  Oh did I ever enjoy it.  Well, if my mouth is enjoying dinner I figured my feet should join in also.

I just wanted to show my toes how good pasta tastes!
Yes, I was admonished for my behavior and yes this type of behavior won't fly when I grow-up but hey, I'm a little Boy.  Deal with it!
