Yet Again, iPhone Avoids a Meltdown!

I admit, I can't sustain myself without at least two naps a day and going to bed before 8 PM. Mommy and Daddy left me with Papo and Deeda for a "Date Night". It wouldn't have been a problem but Uncle Mark showed-up to the house with A LOT of his friends and I was a serious center of attention. Man did I run myself ragged. I didn't realize how overextended I was until about 8:30!

Mommy and Daddy your are soooo lucky I was able to access the iPhone for the five minute ride home with it's plethora of apps.

Salsa Relief

Well, I had a shorter second nap today and it just was not enough. So when I woke-up I was a feisty little guy, ready to fight!

Lucky Mommy and Daddy were able to divert my attention away from tearing the house apart by giving me access to a big bowl of Salsa!

Now that changed my little disposition. Yummy!

A Toddler Dinner Party

What fun! My friends Dominic and Nora came by for dinner tonight! I am always relieved to know there are people my size out there, and they live next door!

At first I was a little apprehensive. They came in and started playing with my toys and taking attention away from me. I watched them warily from my perch on the couch.

Still, nothing like a little breaking of bread at the kid table for me to let my guard down. Dominic and Nora are definitely my friends!

And when the Bunny Crackers arrived we had no problem sharing!

I Love My Friends!

Assign Roles to Me at Your Own Peril Mommy!

Mommy totally commented that I looked like Dennis the Menace today. According to her I am a total wringer for this guy if I only had a slingshot in my back pocket.

Well, alright Mommy, if you really want to assign a role to me I can grow into it.

I filled my new role perfectly. Grabbing Mommy when she tried to cook, throwing out all the tupperware and after that trying to lock Mommy in the mud room. It would have been better if I actually did have one of those slingshots!

Menace!

A Half Hearted Inspiration from Caillou

Usually I'm not that inspired by Caillou. He is a little boy who fantasizes about having all sorts of adult jobs . . . most of them boring.

But not tonight. I am all about being a police officer someday.

Still, Caillou came up kind of lame. Caillou as a cop seemed only interested in helping lost children and writing parking tickets.

Officer Jaxon would be a whole different type of Cop! Caillou just does not know how to fantasize about life in the adult world correctly!

Kinda Rough

I have a new love in life and it is the Baby Tomato. I can eat them in one bite, they are soooo tasty and they go down soooo easily.

Oh the pain of something that tastes so good can make my little bottom so raw! Why God! Why!

There was some extra lathering of the Earth Mama Angel Baby tonight. Whew!

Feeling nice and moisturized as I go to bed tonight and dream of my precious Baby Tomatoes.

From Cherry Blossom Trauma To Hat Therapy

Daddy thought it would be a good idea to take me to the University of Washington and see the Cherry Blossoms . . . I disagree! Daddy taking me on a long walk and pulling me out of my stroller right when I had fallen into a nap did not make me happy at all! And I let him know.

The stage was set for a real bad ride home until Daddy started waving my hat at me. Nothing like a multi-colored stocking hat to change my disposition.

Oh the simplicity of childhood!

A Happy Daddy

Turns out even Super Heroes have to go to college. Daddy went to Western Washington University. NCAA Division II really isn't part of the "Madness" but Daddy still seemed happy that his Vikings won.

As for myself, not really. There were cupcakes, lots of adults paying attention to me and my other toddler friends. I could have cared less about a silly basketball game!

I do love a party!

A Rough Day at Magnuson Park

Phew! That sure wasn't expected. Truth be told I have a new fascination in life and it is bikes! So today at Magnuson Park I was very attentive to all the kids riding around.

Well, maybe a little too attentive. It turns out that six year olds aren't very good with their brakes when you get too close.

Note that you can still see the tears on my eyelash. There were quite a lot of them coming out for a long time. I was not a happy little guy. I glared at the upset six year old and his Daddy! I don't care if they were apologetic.

The whole incident called for quite a few kisses from Mommy. After a traffic accident sometimes you just need a Mom!

An Italian Night - Pizza and Fast Cars!

Oh what a Day I had with my Papo. Papo's family came from an Italian section of Switzerland which basically makes me a little Guido.

Nothing says true Italian like driving a fast car for pizza! Which is exactly what we did!

I was a little rowdy at the restaurant. Hey, I was feeling my hot Italian blood! If I wasn't getting 100% attention I made sure I asserted my authority my tossing finger puppets!

The real treat of the night was coming outside and discovering that the same cars I was playing with would someday be enlarged for me to actually drive.

So exciting to learn that everything I play with is just a preparation for an even more exciting life as an adult!

Booster Blog

Well Mommy tried to put me in my high chair for dinner . . . No Way! Nothing like a little pointing and whining to get a point across!

I am a Big Boy and Big Boys sit in Boosters!

What can you say, once you ditch the high chair your really never look back.

I'll be riding a bike soon enough.

I Would Like Some Peas With My Yogurt Thank You!

After a big helping of Mommy's Jambalaya it was time for some dessert. Enter Soy Yogurt! But something was definitely missing. I couldn't put my little finger on it until I saw some of the remaining peas. Perfect!

Daddy tried to intervene, what the?!?! Not like he is going to be eating them. Regardless, I stood my ground and he relented.

For God's Sake Daddy, you used to put butter on your raisins when you were a little boy. Who are you to judge!

Give me my space to develop my own food identity Daddy!

Getting Ready For Everest at the Zoomazium!

I got to visit my friend Ben again today. We visited the Zoomazium and I was instantly inspired.

We were both instantly fascinated by the prospect of climbing mountains as a hobby. Of course, this is only a trial run. Twenty years from now we will climb Everest!

Imagine us at the summit someday! Our Mommies might not be that happy about this hobby we are planning but I don't think these guys listened to their Mommies either!

We are already discussing our plans. Luckily our Mommies don't speak toddler.

Taxes!

It is hard to imagine that Daddy even bothers taking money for his job as a Super Hero, you would think fighting crime in Seattle would be compensation enough, but I suppose everyone needs a paycheck. Not only do Superheroes get paid . . . they also have to pay taxes!

Daddy gets a little bit confused how to do them best especially when it comes to deductions so he enlists Deeda for help. I would be confused also, is a Super Hero a 1099 or a W-2?

Best of all it turns out that I factor into the whole tax equation!

Glad to be of help to you Daddy! Yesterday I was dressed in Green for St. Paddy's Day, today I am dressed in Green for Money! I expect some new toy trucks with flashing lights for this refund Daddy!

My First Haircut!

Today was my Second St. Patrick's Day . . . but my First Haircut! After I woke-up from my Green Milk inspired afternoon nap I was informed that I was going to get my haircut.

BEFORE

For most of the seventeen months I have been on this Earth I was fairly bald so a haircut wasn't really necessary but Mommy decided that the time had finally come.

We went to where Daddy gets his haircut, the Epic Barber Shop, and visited Daddy's friends James and Heather. James asked how he wanted my hair done and he said anything was fine, just not a mohawk. Well I guess I know what to ask for next time!

It turned out to be a fairly pleasant experience. I was a little calmer since they put cartoons on and let me play with a comb.

AFTER

Nothing changes your perspective like a new haircut. To think I thought I didn't have anything else to experience in life!

St. Paddy's Day with Uncle Andrew

Uncle Andrew came by today and boy did we have fun. It helped that it was St. Patrick's Day and I felt like a little Leprechaun in my festive green outfit. All the more fun!

Of course I loved being the center of attention. Since I had a great audience I did a little Irish jig on the ottoman before jumping onto uncle Andrew's arms.

Sadly I had to settle for for Green Milk instead of Green Beer. If Daddy's doesn't let me try the Guinness next year I may have to go to someone else to get what I want . . . like a cool Uncle!

Getting a New Car

It turns out the pride of Daddy's life, his Volvo, is in need of some serious repairs. It prompted a discussion with Mommy about possibly getting a new car.

Well, if you are getting a new car as a member of the family I deserve some input. If you are going to get a new car I vote for a dump truck . . . with fire on the sides!

Life is just too short to not be driving around in a dump truck. I don't care if it's not designed for child seat!

March Madness and Dennis

I was getting really excited at the Ram Brewery tonight because March Madness had started. The Madness even gets to Daddy because he checks out of his Super Hero job early to be a part of it. Wow! We came to visit Daddy but he just kept on sneaking back to his adults only section. The Madness causes Daddy to neglect his family. : (

I was still very curious!

I did have a bit of a treat when the Madness was finished and Daddy came back to our table. He brought his fun friend Pat and his Papo Dennis.

They took a little trial run with me since Pat is going to have a baby like myself soon. All the attention suddenly made up for Daddy abandoning Mommy and Me for the Madness!

Not Ready for a Spoon Quite Yet

I'm certainly intrigued by this new innovation, the spoon, but for now it is only going to be a novelty.

Granted, I'm all about copying Mommy and Daddy but sometimes you have to set your priorities.

I mean, I was having Taco meat tonight and you can't shovel food in your mouth with a spoon!

I'm all about learning new things but not if it gets in the way of getting as much Taco meat into my mouth as possible.

I know my priorities and the spoon comes second!

Civil Disobedience - Stopping the Vacuum

I used to fear it but now I am far less intimidated by the Vacuum. I have stopped being so afraid of it and am now actively trying to stop it.

Note that I am not attacking Mommy. I have resorted to peacefully putting my trucks in the way of it.

History has shown that there are ways to institute societal change through non-violent means. Hopefully I will only have to use my toy truck and not have to fast or be thrown into jail.

All things being equal, the vacuum isn't a true "Injustice", I just don't like the noises it makes!
