My First Day of Organized Sports
In preparation for Mommy becoming a true Soccer Mom I joined Little Kickers today.
Watching the Olympics has totally been turning me into a competitive Toddler. Definitely an exciting day. Give me a Soccer Ball and a giant piece of foam and I can't be stopped.
Well they did try to stop me. What is with these giant barriers they installed to try and box me in.
Before long I had inspired a full on revolt by all the other children to try to scale the wall, it was great!
Daddy mentioned that I had better play by the rules more. He said he isn't looking forward to trying to smooth things out with the Little Kickers staff for me being disruptive.

My First Giraffe!
Yeah I do appreciate my Sophie la Girafe but lets be honest. She is plastic.
Every time I go to the zoo there is way too much of a crowd but today Pay Dirt! I actually got to see s Giraffe in the flesh.
Oh did I say the word "Dirt". With Ian and Corbin I got to go to the petting zoo and play with some goats after we visited the Giraffe.
Now that is real living! I am all about the Interactive Zoo model!
Book me a Safari Daddy!

Doing My Part
I decided that the water could be flowing better in the house. Sadly, I really don't think that Daddy has the mechanical skills to do the plumbing correctly. I just had to step in.
Hey, Daddy does a good job Ghostwriting my blogs. But he doesn't know Jack about the details of plumbing.
The whole small stature thing works great also, for getting into those harder to reach places.
Someone needs to keep the water flowing in this house!

All Hail THE KING
Oh it is good to be a KING! As there can only be one Sun in the sky there can only be one KING of the house.
I do enjoy the activities of a KING. Be it cuddling with my pet Tyrannosaurus Rex (The only real acceptable pet for a KING) or playing with my fleet of planes and sports cars. I do appreciated the hobbies that royalty provides.
Of course a KING has to rule also. Being an ABSOLUTE MONARCH is not all fun and games.
I did a good job surveying the building of my castle in the dining room. I marched across the ramparts and shouted orders to Daddy.
Sadly, Daddy was a little slow at jumping to my proclamations. I was forced to throw him into my dungeon for a little while. Sometimes it is tough to be a KING! I can't show favoritism just because he his my Daddy.
God Save The Jaxon!

Following My Olympic Dream!
I got to experience my first Olympics tonight. Well, I was put to bed very early in the opening ceremonies but the Games have officially started!
I still have some time to get ready to compete in 2032. The greater question is what event will I compete in?
I have had a little experience in swimming especially with the new pool I got. Still, I don't know if I will be the next Michael Phelps.
But when the camera can't even catch me because of my speed . . . you know my sport will be track and field!
Oh Usain Bolt, when I am standing on the podium receiving my Gold Medal twenty years from now I will think of you as inspiration! I will not stop until there is no competition left on the planet!

Another First!
Well, there is a first time for everything. And today I had my first unscheduled trip to the hospital! Sadly, I didn't get a chance to get "Stitches" but I have heard these are exciting.
The circumstances weren't very pleasant of course. They involved jumping from my bean bag chair and hitting my head on the dresser but hey, like Evel Knievel sometimes a little pain can be the price of a good time.
And the attention I got from Deeda! Oh my! I hoped to visit Dr. Tom when we went to the hospital but he wasn't around! Still, I did get some extra attention from the nurses.
Oh yes, I did end the day with one of these. And yes, it was Golden, with all the attention I got!

Northacres Spraypark!
Wow! Yesterday was a a trip to the Children's Museum, today was a trip to the Northacres Spraypark!
I just jumped in! I was kind of bummed that Bailey didn't share my enthusiasm. Well, sometimes girls just like to tan instead of jumping into the water. Sadly there wasn't a beach for her.

Asserting Myself at the Children's Museum
Oh what an exciting day I had. When Auntie Ashley takes care of me it is FUN! When I learned we were going to the Children's Museum I could barely contain my excitement.
It was all fun until I saw another child hanging off of the stegosaurus. Hey! I'm all about having a fun time and mixing it up but those skeletons are expensive and delicate. They aren't supposed to be treated like a jungle gym!
I did my best to regulate since the adults weren't stepping in!

Strength Through Unity!
Life changes so much on a regular basis now. I used to parallel play but I am totally coming around to having playmates.
So much fun can be had when you team-up with another toddler. Teaming-up also comes in handy when you want to assert your authority on the playground. Granted we only playfully chased a three year old girl today but that was just a trial run for actually chasing larger camp children out of the park in the future.
Strength through unity!

Being A Knight . . . But No Adventure (Curse That Ferry)
So my friend Corbin had a birthday party on Saturday. Corbin is wonderful, he smothers me with hugs and kisses whenever we hang-out.
We planned a Knight adventure in the Magical Land Across The Sea (Bainbridge). I knew it would involve Dragons, Maidens and Magic! So I made sure to dress accordingly.
Who knows what adventure would be found on Bainbridge. I fully anticipated coming home with a Maiden and some Treasure!
Sadly, traffic made us late for the Ferry and my parents loathed the idea of waiting around for another couple of hours with me yelling.
Well, there was no Knight adventure that day, I had to settle to eat like a King. Still, I would have at least liked to have jousted!

All the Answers in Life Come From Dinosaurs!
We went to the University Village today and I got a treat! Another book about Dinosaurs! Essentially this was a reward for me being good during our shopping trip.
The book I got, Dinosaur vs. Bedtime was a guide for how to deal with life using the philosophy of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
When diversity comes your way you just roar at the problem until you get your way.
Not a bad philosophy but it didn't work very well. My growling didn't stop me from being put down for my nap.
I think it would help if I was a little larger.
Roar!

Taking Bailey for a Car Ride
I inadvertently scared Bailey today. When she came over to play I couldn't resist giving her my tyrannosaurus impression. It didn't go over well. I didn't mean to scare her like that.
Thankfully I was able to make it up to her by taking her for a drive to ease the tension. I was able to borrow a sweet ride also.
Cruising!

My Most Exciting Tuesday Night Ever!
Tuesday nights have never been particularly exciting. Mommy and Daddy are usually tired and not a lot happens. But not tonight!
We started the evening at my favorite public house, Pies and Pints, but that was only the beginning.
Oh there is nothing like Magnuson Park during the Summer. Especially when I am one of the only children in the park. I am the captain of this ship!
Well, I'm happy not to be the only boy in the park. I met a new friend, Raphael who was smiling at me from the tunnel.
I'm all about new friends and drinks.
What a great Tuesday.

Missing Daddy . . . But Loving Party Planning/Pizza
Daddy totally disappeared today. Sadly, I went to sleep before Daddy came home.
But all was not lost. Two things were delivered tonight. First, my party decorations. Thinking about my birthday even if it is nearly three months away put a giant smile on my face.
And then, a Pagliacci Pizza followed by a fist pump from the delivery man!
I do miss my Daddy . . . but I'm not saying I didn't have fun tonight either!

Helping My Caterpillar Grow!
I know that I am growing but my Caterpillar isn't! This has caused some concern to me so I have taken matters into my own hands and am feeding him. I think the best food for a Caterpillar to grow are Organic Cheddar Bunnies.
Hopefully, this will encourage my Caterpillar finally to make a cocoon soon so we can finally have a butterfly around the house.
I do hope I won't have to make a cocoon for myself to become a man though.

Remembering Past Trauma
Well, it has been a few months since that darn six year old rammed me with his bike but I haven't forgotten. My injuries might have healed but the psychological wounds are still there.
That is why I was very much on edge when we went to Magnuson Park and there were plenty of those scary six year olds driving around unattended.
Eventually it was all too much for me. I am a brave toddler but the memories from my initial accident caused me to run to Daddy for protection.
It all became a lot more relaxed when he took me to the play equipment.

Where Did Mommy Go????
Where did Mommy go tonight? I turn my head and she just disappeared.
I don't mind spending a night with Daddy but where did my Mommy go???
Daddy said she was planning something for me.
What could Mommy be planning that would take her out of the house for the night like that???

Doing a "Hose Stand"!
I am a big fan of water, either seeing it coming out of a faucet in my bath or drinking it from one of my Sippy Cups.
Today, Mommy did one better.
Ohh! Imagine the fresh taste of water from a Sippy Cup with the intensity of a shower!

It Was Definitely "Heaven Sent"
Daddy and I decided to give Mommy a break today so we went to Heaven Sent Fried Chicken. It sure was fun. There was a real cute girl behind the counter who I flirted with. I could really talk her up even if she didn't understand a word I was saying.
Oh it smelled so good when we got home. Even Mommy putting it "out of my reach" didn't stop me from getting my little hands on it.
Unfortunately my attempt to break into it myself was foiled. I had to wait until Daddy took it out for me.
Still when we did get into it we had extra rolls. I think my flirting worked!

Taking Charge
Well, Daddy was supposed to feed me my bottle tonight. At least he prepared it, but when it was time to get down to business he was more concerned about taking my diaper bag out.
Well, when you have to drink you have to drink!
I got on the chair and started drinking on my own.
I'm starting to think this whole curling up in Daddy's arms is getting old, especially if he can't get his act together quickly enough.

Man Of The House!
Well, I was only really "the Man" for a little while since Daddy was busy being a Super Hero tonight but I did enjoy playing the part.
Curse my small stature! Even though I wanted to put on Daddy's clothes it just wasn't practical.
Hey, if I couldn't dress in Daddy's clothes I could at least gnaw on them a bit. Leather shoe laces are good for something even if I can't use them to fasten the shoes onto me!
Oh well, at least I can aspire to grow!
