A Zoo Day With Daddy

It was rainy today and Daddy wanted to get out of the house. No park but the Zoomazium seemed to be in order. Unfortunately, on Sundays it is closed. Well, Daddy wasn't going to be deterred. After a little walking around in the rain we found the Rainforest Pavilion.

Oh it was a little scary at first. The Rainforest is beautiful but it is also an unforgiving place where the Law of the Jungle rules. All those Ocelots and Bushmasters had me kind of scared. I cuddled closely to Daddy. I figured that if they came for us they would eat Daddy first and I would have time to escape.

But once I was content that they were not a danger to me I started having fun observing nature. It is easy to be brave when you are protected by thick glass walls! -Jaxon

She is NOT Your Mommy Bailey!

I sure have fun when I get to play with Bailey. Whenever we hang out we do all sorts of fun things. Be it the Zoo or Science Center it is always a treat. Well almost always a treat . . . today she referred to my Mommy as "Mom". Well, I just had to defend what is mine. Just because we are friends doesn't mean we share everything Bailey. I clung to Mommy and growled to show my ownership.

After my display we were all smiles again. Hey, a good friendship is all about setting boundaries. -Jaxon

My First Giraffe!

Yeah I do appreciate my Sophie la Girafe but lets be honest. She is plastic.

Every time I go to the zoo there is way too much of a crowd but today Pay Dirt! I actually got to see s Giraffe in the flesh.

Oh did I say the word "Dirt". With Ian and Corbin I got to go to the petting zoo and play with some goats after we visited the Giraffe. Now that is real living! I am all about the Interactive Zoo model! Book me a Safari Daddy! -Jaxon
