Bring it on Ben (And Owen)

Turns out that fate has brought us to this.  I'm wild about my friend Ben and his little brother Owen but this weekend I'm bringing the 12th Man!

Hey, Ben started it.  I just wanted to have a nice ice cream cone with him this Summer when we were in Colorado but all he wanted to do was trash talk!

Well this Sunday I will show you some true Trash Talking a la Richard Sherman.

I know Ben, Denver Bronco pride runs deep in your family and yes, thank you for reminding me about the back  to back Super Bowl wins way, way before you were even conceived or your parents even knew each other.

Thus, the hunger runs deeper here in Seattle.  Bring it on!

After this Sunday we will have another ice cream cone together Ben and we will see if you want to talk  football.

Missing Christmas

I'm getting a little nostalgic for Christmas.  There is just something I miss about opening those presents. Well, I figured it was time I opened another one.  If Daddy isn't going to supply one I will make one myself- with his TIES.

Eventually things got a little out of control.  Yikes!

How the heck am I going to unwrap that!

Island Party Weekend!

When I heard I was going to "The Island" this weekend I instantly thought I was going to my cabin but it turned out I was heading to someplace even more exciting.  I ended up a couple islands over on Lopez Island with my Great Uncle and Aunt Gene and Renee and their daughter Faith.

Oh my, I had never been to a party in an Airplane Hanger!

Uncle Gene was great at giving me the grand tour.  Not only did he have a plane he also had a vintage  Maserati!

That was just the tip of the iceberg though.  The party was exciting enough but all of a sudden I was behind the controls of an actual airplane!

Nothing got better than this! 

Granted, there were a few other things that got my attention but that is for another blog.

As I said, it was quite the party.

Finally Got My Dumpling

The restaurants at the University Village have become a real hot ticket- It is impossible to get a seat.  I had been craving a dumpling from Din Tai Fung for weeks and today I got my chance with my two friends, Ian and Corbin.

It was great!  Not that many people were there for lunch so we were catered to the way three growing boys should be.  The dumplings just kept coming.

To show our appreciation we all decided to wrestle Mr. Dumpling to the ground.

I didn't see why our Moms felt the need to tear us away.  I wrestle Daddy every night -also as a sign of affection.

I guess there are just different standards outside of the house.

My Dinosaur Adventure Before Bed

Sometimes life can get a little dull at the house.  Things can be a bit repetitive after all.  That is when I need to escape to the land of Dinosaurs!

Oh to have lived on the Earth millions of years ago!  

Well, that was a fine escape from reality for a little while. I guess it is time for dinner, a bath and fighting over bedtime.

Daddy's Little 12th Man!

It was a Seahawks filled day today.  Even starting with my Sunday Doughnut!

Didn't have any trouble showing my team pride in that department!

Yummy!  Still, for the rest of the day I decided to toy with Daddy's emotion.  I mean, why not.  "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" is far more important to me at this point in my life.  So when Daddy tried to put on my little "12th Man" Jersey I cried just because I could.

Finally, when Daddy started treating me like an equal by getting me a 12th Can (Even if it wasn't opened) I decided to fall into line.

Oh yeah!  We are going to the Super Bowl!  Watch out Denver!

The Smurf Wasn't Helping

I am slowly growing accustomed to my new room but still it is a bit rough.  Though I enjoy the new freedom of my bed there was something about the walls of my crib that made me feel secure.  Nothing could get me!  So when I wake in the middle of the night I only want happy faces looking at me.

I just didn't appreciate Grumpy Smurf staring at me with that mean look. It was very disconcerting.

Dang Daddy, could you have picked a worse Smurf to put on my bedside table?  Every time I opened my eyes I had to look at his scowl!

Honestly Daddy, for such a happy species if you are going to get me one as a pet you could have grabbed one that was a little cheerier!

I'm just saying.

Getting Happy at Happy Hour

Today I got to learn about the concept of "Happy Hour".  A time right after work when adults unwind with lots of cheap "Juice" and food.  Well I can kind of wrap my head around it but after my second slider I was ready to play.

As usual, Papo was ready to humor me.  Still, I don't understand this premium adults place on "Juice" even if it is half off.  This whole sitting around talking wasn't that exciting either.

Still, my patience and cuteness was rewarded!

"You Not Say That Daddy!"

I keep on seeing these pictures of Mommy and Daddy without me.  Where am I?

 Daddy's explanations are fairly lame.  Now Daddy, I am a fairly sophisticated Toddler.  I have seen enough pregnant women in my lifetime to understand that yes, I was once inside Mommy.

But this whole concept that I didn't exist once is just a little hard for me to grasp so I have chosen Denial!

When Daddy says that once I wasn't around I just say "You Not Say That Daddy!"

Nap Time With Friends!

They aren't as cozy as snuggling with my Stuffed Animals or Mommy but they are my friends.  It is time my Cars got equal time with me.

Mommy was a bit confused about what I was up to, I wasn't sleeping but I was doing something very methodical in my room.

Well nothing makes me feel more secure than 32 little pairs of eyes from Radiator Springs watching over me while I nap!

Nice to know I have a bunch of friends watching over me while I sleep!

A Little Too Much Drama, Poor Shakespeare!

Well, it certainly should have been an entertaining program to watch.  With a name like "Meerkat Manor" how could you go wrong.  Kind of like going to the zoo but with a story line.  You go Animal Planet!

Unfortunately this wasn't a feel good story like I expected.  I tried to warn them by yelling at the TV. Don't get so close to the snake!

Well, "Shakespeare" was reckless and ended up getting paralyzed.

That was just too upsetting for me.  I instantly needed to be comforted.

Nature can be a cruel place, thank God I was born a Human Child!

Dance Party at Sinbad Express!

Daddy took me on an exciting trip to Fremont today!  After some running up hills to see the Troll again I was hungry so we went to Sinbad Express for lunch.

Daddy wanted me to try lamb but I had a different agenda.  Dancing!  Sorry Daddy, the fusion of traditional Middle Eastern music with a Techno makes me forget about food and just want to move.

Things weren't helped by the fact that the entire staff was cheering and clapping behind the counter.

I think "Sinbad" would be a better name for a nightclub!

Papo's Toys

Papo is rebuilding his basement workshop.  I was more than ready to help.  Anything that could get me into a room full of sharp and shiny things!

Well, he let me touch a few but they were all blunt objects.

Come on Papo, someday I will be watching over you in this basement and keeping you away from sharp objects.  Better that I remember you as being lenient for when I become the authority figure.

Just to show my increasing authority I lectured him about the dust.

Papo needs to clean-up down there.
