Preparing For My Career

Everybody needs to do something when they grow-up and now I have inspiration.  I have been catching some of the lectures by Thomas R. Holtz, Jr., Ph.D. on Dinosaurs via YouTube.
I have been taking notes and now give nightly lectures to Mommy and Daddy on this topic.
I have to simplify things a little bit since my parents aren't as sophisticated but I think I get my message across.
Let me put it this way.  I reduce complex concepts of paleontology into concepts the general public can understand!  Just like Dr. Holtz.
Also like Dr. Holtz I can have fun while I am teaching and fun just kicking back with friends!
Even though I currently only have an audience of Mommy and Daddy it is only going to be a matter of time before my class attendance increases.  I'm sure Dr. Holtz started small also.
Best of all, my lecture series is MY time.  "You not talk now Daddy!"

Sizing-Up Daddy.

It might not be today, but sooner rather than later there is going to be a moment of truth, which male is going to run this herd.

I'm not ready to mount the challenge quite yet, but that doesn't mean I can't start testing Daddy's weaknesses.

I'm definitely taking notes.  When the final head to head match eventually occurs I want to know where Daddy's soft spots are going to be.
I might not have the armor of a dinosaur but my brain isn't the size of an acorn either.  Abstract thought counts for something.  When it is finally time for me to take my place as head of this herd I will be prepared!

Benefits of a Dino Addicted Toddler

I've really consolidated my interests (As You Might Have Realized), my life has pretty much become All Dinosaurs All The Time.
I watch them on my computer, I even arrange Dinosaurs to watch Dinosaurs.
All of this has become a great benefit to my parents.  All my legos and cars and trains that I used to litter the house with every night are now all collectively gathering dust in their respective boxes.
Nothing makes cleaning easy when there is only one type of toy in circulation.  Done and Done!

Feeding My Dino Addiction

The energy from Dino Days yesterday continued into today.  I needed another Dinosaur fix.  The excitement was so intense and my need for contact with a Dinosaur at all times was so great I had to bring Rexy. Besides, he needed to be shown how his ancestors lived.

Yeah, they were a lot bigger and a lot fiercer.
Rexy is lucky that he was born a "House Dinosaur".
Must be nice not having to go out and hunt your own food.  Still there was one harsh reality for Rexy. No it wasn't a giant meteor like his ancestors had to contend with. I am a Toddler and my willingness to take care of him only goes so far.
Sorry, the Science Center just offers far too many distractions.
He is Daddy's responsibility now!

My Dinosaur Adventure Before Bed

Sometimes life can get a little dull at the house.  Things can be a bit repetitive after all.  That is when I need to escape to the land of Dinosaurs!

Oh to have lived on the Earth millions of years ago!
Well, that was a fine escape from reality for a little while. I guess it is time for dinner, a bath and fighting over bedtime.

Visiting the Burke Museum With Daddy

I was so excitable this morning that Mommy suggested that Daddy take me out for an adventure. He took me to the Burke Museum. To say I was mildly apprehensive about going in was an understatement. You would be a little concerned also with a Wild Women of the Woods at the front gate with two half eaten children in her hands!
When I got in though I was content there was nothing to be concerned about. Unlike the Science Center the prehistoric animals are all dead and skeletonized. Phew!
The world sure must have been a scary place in the past looking at the size of these things. I bet they were around before even Papo and Deeda were born!
If I am going to be dealing with Dinosaurs it is probably best if I only play with baby ones. I would just make to good of a little snack for an adult one. Just staying safe. -Jaxon

Greedy? Me?

We went to the University Village tonight because Mommy and Daddy said I had energy to burn off. We ended doing a bit of shopping per my request. Kids Club was nice but Mommy and Daddy ushered me out when I started grabbing bigger and bigger toys. After that we went to Peek! Oh was that a treat. Two wonderful store clerks who offered me a Dinosaur from the jar!
Well, as long as they are going to let me put my hand in the jar I might as well GRAB AS MUCH AS I CAN! Mommy told me not to be greedy. The way I see it I was just taking advantage of an opportunity the way any good business toddler would. When you get an opening to get as many Dinosaurs as possible take it! -Jaxon
