Dick's Run!

Have you missed me!  Well you better have but there is a reason I haven't been blogging since 2016,  I'm turning into a full on BOY.  Sitting on the couch just and playing on a laptop just doesn't have the draw anymore.  I have a bike, an iPhone (My Mom's) to play Pokemon on and lots of friends that require attention.

Regardless, we did something big today.  Daddy had suggested that when we took our first trip to Dick's Drive-In we should hire a professional photographer because it was just such an important event, well, he had to settle because I wanted to try my first Dick's Deluxe and I couldn't wait anymore.

Yep, just picture me like this ten years from now after a football game pushing my curfew to the max, I might have a cute girl sitting on the hood of my car with me also.

Hanging Out With Mr. Strawberry

Oh I so love the Wedgewood Spooner Farms berry stand.  I get to bring Mr. Strawberry home.

He is so tasty and the best thing is that when Mommy got done we went home and made Strawberry Syrup and Strawberry Jam.  Yummy.

We had so much fun that we went back and bought another box!

Yeah, I admit it.  I was skimming plenty of Mr. Strawberries while Mommy was cooking.  Hopefully I won't take after Daddy when he was a little boy and brake out in hives when I overindulge these things.

Seeing What Seattle Was Like For Daddy As A Boy

Today Daddy took me to the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI).  It turns out the Seattle that Daddy grew-up in was a little different than the one I know.

The Seattle that Daddy knew as a little boys seems like a magical place, there were giant Beer Bottles and Clams that walked on two feet!  It must have been amazing.

I'm not sure I'm all that enthusiastic about the design of the cars though.  I think they were probably still evolving from where feet were the primary mode of travel.  I prefer the Audi design.

Oh yes, the MOHAI offered much for a little boy to be excited about!

Still, the Seattle that Daddy grew-up in seemed a bit limiting.  Seems like there wasn't much to do but log.  I don't see my Daddy being a very good lumberjack.  He is more a suit and tie type of guy.

In the end what most inspired me was the room for children.  I respect the past but I was more inspired to design the Seattle of the future.

A Thoroughly Seattle Day

Daddy decided that it was time that he took me to Gas Works Park. Oh my did I have fun! Such a panorama of the city that is my hometown! And the run down the hill was wonderful also. Especially meeting a new friend, "Meeko". My only complaint is that some of the play equipment was more designed for Daddy to be climbing on than me. It wasn't particularly age appropriate for me yet. I still thought the barbed wire was a bit excessive though. I respect that this is play equipment for adults. I wont go climbing on it until I am older. After Daddy had a long talk with some tourists about the actual location of the Houseboat in "Sleepless in Seattle" we celebrated another Seattle institution when we visited our friend Ivar for some fish and chips. I know, I know, the sign told me to "Keep Clam" but it had been an active day and I was hungry! Ivar would have understood. Now if you thought the day couldn't have been more of a celebration of all things Seattle, Daddy read me The Wheedle on the Needle before my nap. Oh, did I mention it was lightly raining the entire day also! What a celebration of my town. -Jaxon

Neglect!

As a growing boy it is important that I am fed at least three meals a day. That is why it made me so mad that Mommy and Daddy weren't feeding me this morning. They seemed more interested in playing on their iPhones. Normally I would start yelling. But I am developing a passive aggressive side. What can I say, being that I am a Seattle Toddler this is a trait I will have to develop.

If Mommy and Daddy won't feed me on time I will resort to gnawing on a meatless dinosaur skeleton to make a subtle point.

Hey Felix Hernandez, congratulations on that perfect game you pitched for the Seattle Mariners today.

I'd hate to see the Seattle fans lose faith in the Mariners and have us lose another professional team before I made it to my first game at Safeco Field.

You've inspired me to learn how to throw a baseball someday but first I have to master using the potty on my own. Baby Steps! -Jaxon
