10 Apples A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

I went to the exotic city of Buckley today to an apple orchard owned by Kayla and Connor's grandparents. Where else could tempt me with all the apples I could eat.
Everyone should have access to an orchard growing-up.
We walked out with quite a haul- just think applesauce and pie for the rest of the year!
Everything went well until the final ride home.  Kayla intrigued me so much with conversation that I only got about a ten minute nap.
When the car trip was over I was a bit out of sorts.

Building My Own Nest

As I identify more and more with birds I figured it was time that I built my own nest.  You need a good solid nest as a foundation for a family.

So I started building one.  It was great for raising Daddy, we really felt snug together.
Though it pained me I had to eventually kick him out.  Tough love.  I had to accept being an "Empty Nester".
Well, the best thing about not having a big Daddy around is that I finally had a chance to upgrade.
Some people downgrade when the parents finally move out.  Not me!  Time for a serious renovation.

Hanging With My Uncle

Nothing like Mommy going away for the night to bend the rules.  Life can be good.

But what makes it better is when Uncle Mark comes by also.
Yeah, having like five books in a row read to you isn't bad at all and I wasn't even in my bedroom!
So after as many Hot Dogs as I could eat while watching whatever TV show I wanted while Daddy and Uncle Mark drank bottles of juice and got louder I finally turned in around 9:30.  Not a bad night.  When you actually admit to being tired it shows you had a good night!

Sweet Jaxon Alabama!

We were driving today and I told Daddy to play LOUD MUSIC!  Unfortunately, a lot of the Top 40 stuff the kids are listening to these day really isn't Rock n' Roll.

But finally Daddy landed on JACK (Jaxon) 96.5 FM right when the riff by Lynyrd Skynyrd started playing.

They were talking about a mystical land called "Sweet Home Alabama" and I loved it!
Fist Pump!
Gotta Love that Southern Sound!
In your face Neil Young.  A Southern Man (Deeda was from New Orleans so I am one by ancestry) doesn't need you around!

These guys really knew how to have a fun time.  I'm sure their hotel rooms from when they toured looked a lot like my room after I have had a few too many Jelly Beans!
I was feeling like a little "Free Bird" all the way home!  Ronnie Van Zant still lives somewhere on the radio everyday!

Happy Birthday Max

Oh yes, another one of us hits the big 0-3!  You go Max!

It seems like each Birthday we get to do even more.  Sadly they weren't pouring us Wine yet.  I'm hoping that starts when we turn 4.

Still, another year on Earth and we are getting to do a lot more things on our Birthdays!

Just when I didn't think anything could be more exciting than a balloon animal they brought out the Pinata!

I'd never seen one of these before but we took to it instantly!
Jack-Pot!
More candy than Halloween in one swipe!

Party!

Bow Down!

Mommy continues defining who I will be.  Today, she began indoctrinating me into the world of the University of Washington Huskies.

It really didn't take me too long to embrace my new identity.  Growl!  Woof!  I have now become part of a long tradition.

Here is to a long life of rooting for the Dawgs from going to Hec Ed to watch basketball to the stadium to cheer on the football team.

Probably will never be putting on a football helmet because my parents are so overprotective about my noggin but I may be in the band or the glee club.

Playing Hooky

I do love preschool but sometimes it is just not in the cards.  That is when you play-up a cold.  What is the best thing to do when you play Hooky?  Go Fishing!

Yeah, I knew there was going to be problems when Daddy came home and I had to explain why I had been away from school and living it up with Papo and Deeda instead of learning.

As soon as Daddy came to pick me up I distracted him by offering one of the fish I had caught.  Totally refocused his attention and I was off the hook (Hope you didn't miss my fishing analogy).   I think this what you call a "Red Herring" in the public relations world.

Revisiting Old Friends

Some people start preschool and forget where they came from.  I remember where I first began to be socialized . . . my Nanny Share!

Josie, Bailey and Jaxon.  We will live on as friends forever.  We had quite the reunion today.
I realize that everyone has to grow-up and move on.  I mean, it wouldn't make sense of us to be in a Nanny Share when we are all 21 years old.  Everything comes to an end I suppose.
It is alright to grow-up.  Just not too fast.

Well, It Worked For A Little While

I had a great day at school today.  So much so that I decided to bring the enthusiasm home and peak while Mommy was cooking dinner.

The living room AND the dining room looked like a little hurricane hit them.  Even a "Time Out" didn't damper my enthusiasm.

I could sense that Mommy was getting angry so I reminded her how much I loved her and missed her at school.  It sure worked, she melted.

But as usual I pushed my luck again.  Right after this picture was taken I began pulling out one of my cars for an after dinner drive even though I hadn't picked-up a single toy from before dinner (That is the job of Mommies and Daddies).

Another "Time Out"!  I guess cuteness will only get me so far.  Not like I will quit using it though.

Extreme Swimming

Does the picture look a little blurry?  Well of course it does, this is when my non-professional photographer Daddy tries to capture me on film when the lights are turned off and I am moving at maximum speed in the bathtub.

I was bored with just being bathed tonight . . . I demanded that things be a bit more extreme.  Daddy was told to turn the lights off.

Michael Phelps may be a record breaking swimmer but can he hit the same speed in the dark.  I doubt it!

Going East

What an exciting weekend.  We picked Daddy up at work on Friday and we took the longest car trip I had ever taken.  We crossed the Cascades and ended in the magical land of Chelan.  Chelan is a place where the Sun is a lot brighter and it is quite a bit Hotter!

You also don't see things like this in Seattle . . .

There was a little bit more of an unnecessary emphasis from the adults who were with me on drinking "Juice" but apparently this becomes more of a priority when you get older and it gets a lot more expensive (The older the better?!?!).
Still when all was said and done my needs were taken care of.
Yeah this place has a lot to offer.
Problem was squeezing it into one weekend.  I'll be back.

Lightning in a Cage!

Oh that Bee flying around the dinner table.  So much power . . . I needed to possess it.  The trap was set with some bits of hamburger as bait.

Problem is that waiting for the Bee to fly into the cage took patience, something I have very little of.

Thankfully Papo could keep a watchful eye on it while I was busy.

But eventually the Bee succumbed and all that power was mine to take home.

Sadly I didn't know about the "Catch and Release" policy.  Lame, that Bee could have been a great addition to my bedroom.

Taking Care Of Myself

Now that I am pushing 3 I have decided I need to start taking better care of myself.  The first step is to make sure my blood pressure is ok.

It seemed like it was alright.  Still, after my Birthday I am going to cut back on the Cupcakes and Happy Meals.

Just making sure I will be there for my Grandkids.  I want to be a Papo someday also.

Daddy the Vulture

Nothing makes the Men in the house happier then when Mommy makes Lasagna.  The problem is that it also brings out the worst in Daddy.  I don't think that there is anything worse than stealing food from your child's mouth . . . but Daddy does!

I turn my head and Daddy has decided that I am finished with my dinner and all of a sudden Daddy is eating it.  Eating off a kid's plate, how silly.  Still, this is always what happens when Mommy makes lasagna.

Recovering

After an exciting weekend in the San Juans I was ready for another exciting day with Mommy . . . but than I woke-up and I was tired.  Really tired.

Yeah, somedays you just need to recover.  Good thing I have a little cabin in the living room with Mommy in my view the entire time.

Phew, I must be rested for school tomorrow!
