Get A Life People!

Well, turns out nothing is sacred.  Hop on Pop is now being attacked by the minions of Political Correctness.  In this case via the Toronto Library system.  Apparently it encourages violence against Fathers.

First, it is kind of hard to imagine true "Violence" being inspired against my Pop. He is very docile but he is also physically the strongest person in our house (For Now).
Secondly, he kind of likes me rough housing  with him.  Unlike Mommy he is all about physicality but he doesn't seem to get hurt easily.

Though domestic abuse is a serious issue, and we should never turn a blind eye to mistreatment of males I think most Daddy's are secure.

I'm sure quite a few Pops are being hopped on tonight and doing just fine.

Taking A Life Lesson From Jim

Many people, including my naive Daddy look at Dr. Seuss as a harmless collection of rhymes that he can use to put me to sleep.

I think The Doctor had a different intention- teach children harsh but important life lessons-mainly that "The Best Defense is the Best Offense"

Notice the cowardly larger person is easily eaten by the lion who can sense fear.

Now enter Jim!

Sometimes in life you have to face your fears or perish.

The genius of Dr. Seuss was that he was able to address these issues without giving kids nightmares

Indecision . . . My New Power

I have discovered a new power today . . . I can change my mind.  It turns out I don't have to stay on a single course- I can change midway through anything.

I whipped out "Me Change My Mind" twice today.  In deciding midway that I wanted to retain my Ice Cream pajamas and after that deciding I actually did want to have Dr. Seuss read to me.

I love this new command.  Mastering speech can be a wonderful thing!

Green Eggs and Ham . . . Good Fiction

When I find a book I stick with it. I mean why bother trying something new if you already know what you like. Thus, it is ironic that my favorite book that I demand Mommy read again and again and again is a life lesson book by Dr. Seuss that preaches trying new things.
There is a reason that "Green Eggs and Ham" is considered fiction. If you find something you like just repeat it. Be it a book you like having read to you or waffles and (Non green) pineapples for breakfast.
Why complicate your life? -Jaxon
