Inauguration Day!

Today was the inauguration of President Barack Obama for his second term. So much has changed since the last inauguration . . . most notably Me being born.
I would say that was a good first term accomplishment Mr. President!
So proud that we have such a functioning democracy in America. I was sure born into the right country. Phew! Some countries have elections that are followed by riots and civil unrest but we have a party.
Yeah, a lot can happen in four years. One only knows what I could see happen in the next four years. I probably should have actually watched the inauguration rather than insisting on watching Super WHY. -Jaxon

Election Night, I vote for Caillou

So America had an election tonight. Not really my cup of tea. Daddy tried to watch the coverage but I was having none of it. There was way too much yelling and flashing of images on the major networks. Having it on in the background just worked me up.
In the end there was a clear unanimous decision that for the sanity level of the house we would watch Caillou until bedtime.
Yeah, yeah, I know, I will be going to bed without knowing the winner of the election but in my world the leader of the free world is fairly irrelevant.
The only authority figure I respect anyway is Mommy and she doesn't adhere to election cycles. -Jaxon

Weighing in on the Presidential Race!

I have been around for a few elections but never a Presidential election. I am a Seattle Toddler so I am sure to grow-up to be a Liberal . . . but Daddy does listen to a lot of Right-Wing radio when Mommy is not in the car so I get all sorts of perspectives.
I see some good things in both the candidates. Mitt Romney would probably cut back on some of the rules and regulations I have to live under. He would probably deregulate nap time and play dates. However, Barack Obama seems a lot more generous. I see him having a lot more treats available for me.
Still, as much as I wanted to be a civic minded Toddler a wheel that wasn't even attached to a car kept me more fascinated. -Jaxon
