Almost Potty Trained

There are two parts to being "Potty Trained".  1.  Dropping your pants and sitting on the toilet.  2. Wiping yourself.

Well I have Number 1 covered.  Unfortunately that toilet paper roll, it still takes a little figuring out.

A little help please Mommy.

Feeding Frenzy

As a growing boy I'm all about huge amounts of food being available to me.  Well today I got my wish.

Mommy's friend from work, Carmen, delivered with the Thunderbolt Plums!  Oh my, just what a growing boy needs!

I never really got tired of eating them.  Unfortunately, Mommy decided to regulate.  Too many plums cause a tummy ache said Mommy.

Tummy ache or not.  They were sure good going down.  Daddy doesn't seem to question this when he is drinking beer!

A Dream Fulfilled

So today is the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington.  Hard to believe there was a time when a person's skin color could mean they couldn't sit at a lunch counter, live in a neighborhood or ride at the front of a bus.
The worst thing is that this really limits the number of interesting people you could be friends with.  As a toddler who likes to make friends with everyone at the play field this would seriously cramp my style.

Sometimes Toddler logic trumps that of adults.  Enough said.

Planting An Adventure

I have been watching some exciting Disney movies with Mommy recently and am beginning to think my life should be more exciting.  How do I get to one of these worlds of giants and fairies!

My only thought is that Magic Beans could be the answer.  Hey, they worked for Jack and he ended his adventure a rich man.
Mommy was probably a little confused why I was pestering her to plant my Jelly Beans instead of eating them.
I have my motivations, but Mommy is on a "Need to Know" basis for now.  Just plant those darn Jelly Beans Mommy!

Back From My Rocky Mountain High!

I had to take a break from my blog for a week.  I was visiting the Centennial State . . . Colorado!  Best of all I was reunited with my friend from the 4N Gang, Ben.  I should call it the 5N Gang because he came with an addition . . . OweN!

Good times!  There was so much to do!  From gold prospecting to spelunking to rock collecting I was all over it!

Yeah, we got a little worn out, but we kept supporting ourselves when times were tough.
Hey, Colorado is a state for MEN not Toddlers, so we had each other's back when the Sun and altitude got to us.

I even did a little bit of rock climbing.
When I come back I'll be at this guy's level.
Yeah, Colorado is a a fun state.  You don't see a Teddy Bear like this in Seattle!

Taking Care Of My Physique

I am all about building muscle mass.  After all, I will be starting school this Fall and I will need to hold my own at recess.
Time to hit the weights and feel the burn!  Not saying I am going to be pushing the other kid around . . . but I will hold my own.
Beefcake!

I'm King Of The World!

Nothing like standing on top of something big to make you feel powerful!

Feels good to be on something that is unsinkable traveling fast and pushing the limits.
Here is to no icebergs!

Everyone Needs Fuel

I had a big day planned today, swimming lessons!  It was thus important to make sure I was properly fueled!  You go pancakes.  I bet Michael Phelps eats these before a race also.
When you think about it we are a lot like a Jeep.  We really can't hit the highest level of performance without a full tank.
I am a high performance machine!

Family Netflix Night

Sometimes I just don't want to run around the house all night.  It is a Netflix night!  Honestly I think Mommy and Daddy were a little relieved also.  Chasing a Toddler can be a second job onto itself.

Nothing like having all the family on the couch to watch Tinkerbell on a Powerbook.  Being sandwiched between Mommy and Daddy can be very calming.

How Does A Plane Fly?

I do appreciate planes.  But I have always wondered, how do those huge things stay in the air.  It seems to go against everything I understand about physics.  An object heavier than air should fall!

But when we were driving today I saw a plane and it just all came together.  I had to blurt it out to Mommy.  "Me thinks planes has Pixie Dust in them!"
Nice to have that all figured out.  Mommy and Daddy don't give me enough credit for my scientific deduction powers.

Knowing how a plane really works will make me far less apprehensive next time I take a flight.

Piggy Back Rides . . . A Little Scary

Auntie Ashley gives me Piggy Back Rides so I figured hey, I'll jump onto Daddy.

I don't know, he is a lot taller than Auntie and he seems a little less in control.  Actually, I was holding on for dear life!

My First Movie! Two Thumbs Up!

I had been anticipating this event for a long time . . . and it finally happened.  I went to a movie for the first time in an actual theater!

It had certainly helped that my friend Dominic had been telling me about it all through our play date yesterday.  Mommy was excited also, so excited that she left her cell phone at Macy's.

Thankfully Daddy moved quickly to retrieve it and we were all settled in for the previews!
It was action packed and full of the drama that one would expect from a good film.  Would Dusty Crophopper win the race around the world or would it be the villainous Ripslinger?!?!  More importantly would Dusty find love with Ishani.  There were so many plot twists!
I was disappointed with a few things.  Apparently yelling commentary during the movie is frowned upon as well as eating popcorn off the floor.  Oh well.  There was only one thing more exciting than watching the movie . . . the self flushing toilet in the Family Restroom.  Yeah, ended up taking a few potty breaks just to see that thing work!
Still, safe to say I made it through the entire film.
That is a victory in itself.  There was some debate if I was going to last but I did!
Yeah, these movie theaters have a lot to offer.  I will be back!

Shopaholic!

I do love to go shopping.  It's kind of like me against the store.  My goal is to find the maximum amount of clothes for the least amount of money.

It is hard to keep myself looking good but I am up to the challenge.  Hey, the clothes make the Man!

College Men . . . IN MY ROOM!

So I come to Papo and Deeda's and discovered my room has been taken over by a bunch of College guys.  Turns out they are on a "Road Trip".

Jamie, Jake and Elijah seemed like nice enough guys, but I was a little wary of them all being in my room playing with MY toys.
I was relieved that they were no match for my flashlight shining in their face.  What can I say, it is always good to have the upper hand in all situations.

Daddy told me I should be nice to them.  Twenty years from now I could be driving around the country and need to crash at one of their places.

Born To Party!

Something went down on our street tonight.  I didn't know what was going down, but when the street is blocked off you know you are going to have fun!

Block Party!  We got to hang with the neighbors and their kids.  It was great!
Yeah, I was the life of the Block Party and I didn't know when to quit!
I did know when it was time to rest, but I like to think of it as RELOADING!
One for the road!  Hey, a block is a long way to rock when you are a PARTY ANIMAL like me.

Learning How To Appreciate A Movie

Mommy downloaded some Netflix for me and we got to watch the adventures of Tinkerbell and her fairy friends.

I appreciated it at first, but there were some scenes that got me a little upset.  There was the scene where Tinkerbell got chased by a cat and trapped in a cage- it was scary.  Still, I was able to clutch Mommy a little tighter and things ended up ok.
I realized that to make a movie interesting you actually need conflict and drama to keep things exciting. Still, I was glad to have my Mommy close to me as a precaution if things got too intense!

The excitement for Disneyland is just getting me too emotional!

Celebrating Seafair With Blueberries

I do love Seafair.  I always seem to watch it from a distance though.  If I wasn't going to see Blue Angels I was going to see some Blueberries!

One thing I didn't understand was what was this bucket going to be used for.  It seems like it just got in the way of moving blueberries into my mouth.
Yeah, we made it across Interstate 90 before they closed the bridge, barely.
I would say this was a successful day.
