Indecision . . . My New Power

I have discovered a new power today . . . I can change my mind.  It turns out I don't have to stay on a single course- I can change midway through anything.

I whipped out "Me Change My Mind" twice today.  In deciding midway that I wanted to retain my Ice Cream pajamas and after that deciding I actually did want to have Dr. Seuss read to me.

I love this new command.  Mastering speech can be a wonderful thing!

Embracing My Seafaring Ancestry

My Mommy is descended from restless Seafaring people.  I am the descendant of Scandinavians and Polynesians who explored the Atlantic and the Pacific respectively.

Well, I figured it is time that the Puget Sound is explored by the next generation.

This little boat is wonderful.  Sadly, I wasn't able to get very far on my own so I recruited an actual rower.
Hey, every great explorer needed a crew to row the galley!  Sorry, not everyone gets to be remembered by history, only the captain.
Can't wait to get out onto the open Ocean!

Taking Off The Training Wheels!

Yeah, it is time to enjoy the true benefits of a bike.

With one of these things I can truly start enjoying the neighborhood on my own terms!
The potential of this thing is endless.  It won't be long before I head out by myself with only instructions to be home by dinner.

My only complaint about today is that I didn't get any air!

Mommy's Beautiful Hair

I love Mommy's hair so much.  It is comforting and soft.  There is no better feeling than wrapping myself around it.

Oh, did I tell you what I liked most about it.  When I have wrapped myself in it there is no way Daddy can pull me away.  Daddy wouldn't risk hurting Mommy.

Sometimes it is necessary to take a hostage!

Getting the Royal Treatment

There was a Royal Baby born today across the pond.  The British Throne has a new heir.
I hope William and Kate are just as happy as Mommy and Daddy are having a little bundle of joy.
I did have to ask Daddy why I didn't get to live in a Castle.  It seemed like a valid question.

Daddy just told me that I am more than taken care of.  My life isn't that tough.  I certainly have enough servants.
It is more fun to bathe myself anyway, and Daddy is more than happy to put tooth paste on my tooth brush . . . just like you Prince Charles!
Yeah, life is good.

Partied Out!

Wow, that was a barbecue!  Very intense.  I got to be with so many of my friends, it was great!

But all of a sudden I saw my Mommy with a baby.  I was not happy!
Ok, time to turn on the waterworks!
Nice!  You are mine and only mine Mommy!

Mommy's Treasure

I was in a mood today to see Mommy's Treasure.  She has some nice jewelry, but these are the only ones that she allows me to play with.

They seem like the doubloons pirates have but she got them in some place called "Iraq".
Looking forward to Mommy telling some stories about the significance of these doubloons in the future.  Seems like they would make a more exciting bed time story than "Hop on Pop".
Mainly I'm happy she came back though.

The New Volvos Are Pretty Sleek!

Along time ago when Daddy first started dating Mommy and I was still a long way off he drove around in a 1985 Volvo.  Well, pretty soon Mommy made Daddy clean-up his act.  Thank God!  I can't imagine driving around in a box.

Still, I'm kind of coming around to some of the new models.  Deeda still drives one and the one she has looks nice.  When we were getting it serviced today I took some of the new models for a test drive.
I could maybe see myself in one of these things.  Remember, I am a quarter Swedish.
My only concern is getting these things up to the speed of an Audi.

They aren't quite as boxy but they aren't up to my aerodynamic standards yet.

Where Is Daddy?

I waited and waited tonight but there was no Daddy!

I sat down to Dinner with Mommy . . . No Daddy!  I took a Bath . . . No Daddy!  I went to read a Book before bedtime . . . No Daddy!

Had I been abandoned!  Mommy seemed fairly unconcerned but that didn't make me feel any better.

Finally he showed up to tuck me in and read me a second story. Turns out he was at some Superhero Networking Event.

I can accept this, but keep me in the loop next time!

Loving the Kids' Table!

I am very much enjoying this Summer.  There are so many other children coming into my life . . . yet again another girl, Kate!  I am a sucker for girls, what can you say!

But besides Kate I had some other wonderful experiences tonight-mainly the wonder of the "Kids' Table".  Oh My!  I didn't realize that you could have a table where just children are welcome!
Kind of fun to have a table devoted entirely to kids.  I do appreciate adults, but sometimes you just have to have a place where kids can just be kids!
Oh, there was one more thing I learned tonight.  Sometimes it is fun to ring the doorbell and leave a mechanical spider.

There is so much I can learn hanging out with people four years older than me!

Cruising!

Papo and Deeda showed up in a new car today, a convertible!  Was the family getting a new car?!?!

Regardless I was seriously ready to drive.  It was time for a night on the town!
I would definitely say we look good in this thing.  This would be an appropriate trade for the Mazda.
Sadly, I got the full story.  It is Uncle Mark's and he is selling it tomorrow.  Tonight was it's final rodeo with my family.

I turned on the warning lights and shouted "Emergency!".  The real Emergency was that it was disappearing tomorrow.

Feeding Off My Energy!

Mommy and Daddy pulled me away from my toys this morning telling me I was going to "Everett".  I was a bit skeptical . . . I wanted to go to Disneyland.

Still, when we arrived at McCollum Park all of my skepticism disappeared.

From water balloons, hot dogs, kickball AND baseball there was no end to Summer Fun!

Oh, did I mention there were Girls, lots of them!  Summer is Great!
On the ride home my Parents went out of their way to make sure I didn't fall asleep.  How silly.  There was NO WAY I was going to fall asleep.  I had absolutely no use for a nap when I got home.  I was actually so excited I ended up throwing my toys on the floor.

Silly Parents, you should have known it was going to be a No Nap Day.

Minions From McDonald's

I have discovered that I have the opportunity to become a Super Villain like Gru.  The only problem is that McDonald's will only give me one Minion per Happy Meal.  In the course of three weeks I only have two.

Gru still has a much bigger army than me.

Still, I am determined to make the best of my two Minions.

One of them can actually be used as a whistle and the other one that has a flamethrower attached . . .

. . . can be used to shove into Daddy's mouth to "Test His Temperature"!

Hey, I realize it might me a stretch to go to McDonald's 10,000 to build a Minion Army so I will get as much mileage out of the ones I have.

A Very Intense And Exciting Day

Today started with an intense 15 Minute swimming session with Owen and Gretchen.  In itself that would have been a well spent day . . . but this was only the beginning!

After loading up with a hearty meal of couscous I was ready for even more fun.
There was an added benefit that Mommy and Deeda were at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  I could pretty much have my way with Papo.
After I helped him fix his Audi I decided it was time to crash a party in the alley.  There were some big kids playing frisbee but as long as I showed I was confident I was able to be accepted instantly.
I learned some new words also like "Dude" and "Shut-Up" and "He's Got the Swagger".  But most importantly was learning how to throw a frisbee.
Well, I was about 10% interested in learning how to toss the thing and 90%  interested in being taught by a very cute girl.

What can you say, I have my priorities.

Forgiveness

I had a fun day today.  The Sun was out and Bailey, Josie and Me went to the park and had a grand time.  Still, underneath all the fun I was still a little worried . . . was Mommy still mad at Me?

So I asked her, "Mommy Still Mad?".

"No".  She was mad that she had to use her insurance but wasn't mad at me anymore.

Besides, Daddy's boss put it in perspective.  It was only an offense if I dropped the cell phone it in her wine . . . water was just an experiment.

Seeing If An iPhone Can Swim

Well it seemed like a good idea at the time but the experiment wasn't worth it.  I have all sorts of toys that do well in water.  My Rubber Ducky, my Seaplane, even my plastic Cow.  Turns out that an iPhone isn't meant for water.

This happened last night and I have been in the "Dog House" for the last 24 Hours!  And by "Dog House" I mean sent to bed without a story.  It did mean I got a trip to the Apple Store with Mommy where she was informed that she broke the record for cashing in her AppleCare the earliest after getting a new phone.  I should at least get some credit for that Mommy!

Unfortunately, that was a record she wasn't impressed that I helped her break.

Babysitter Bill!

Yeah, the barbecue Mommy and Daddy had today was very fun.  The great thing was that the rules were fairly relaxed.  Luckily, Bill seemed to be watching over me, kind of.

He was talking to his fiancee most of the time instead of watching but hey, at least one adult was in the room with us.  Thankfully there would have been someone to save us from ourselves.
As soon as he got off the phone he was the center of attention though.
Whether you like it or not Bill, you are ours today.  If no one is going to watch us we will deputize a babysitter.

Standing Up To Tyranny!

Today is July 4th.  In the spirit of the day I decided to stand-up to Tyranny!

Just like the Patriots of 1776 who demanded "No Taxation Without Representation" I demanded "Compensation For Cutting My Doughnut In Half".

When Daddy broke my July 4th themed Doughnut in half I demanded satisfaction, so I went to the corner and wailed for a little while.
You should have known better Daddy.  I am an American Toddler, the descendant of Minutemen.  Push me around at your own risk.
Yeah I got what I wanted.  Granted, no one could put the Doughnut back together again, but Daddy did give me half of his Bismarck.
Freedom Isn't Free, Sic Semper Tyrannis!
