Seeing What Seattle Was Like For Daddy As A Boy

Today Daddy took me to the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI).  It turns out the Seattle that Daddy grew-up in was a little different than the one I know.

The Seattle that Daddy knew as a little boys seems like a magical place, there were giant Beer Bottles and Clams that walked on two feet!  It must have been amazing.
I'm not sure I'm all that enthusiastic about the design of the cars though.  I think they were probably still evolving from where feet were the primary mode of travel.  I prefer the Audi design.
Oh yes, the MOHAI offered much for a little boy to be excited about!
Still, the Seattle that Daddy grew-up in seemed a bit limiting.  Seems like there wasn't much to do but log.  I don't see my Daddy being a very good lumberjack.  He is more a suit and tie type of guy.
In the end what most inspired me was the room for children.  I respect the past but I was more inspired to design the Seattle of the future.

Owning the Bouncy House!

Usually when I go play in the Bouncy House with Daddy it is a solo activity.  Granted, I make friends but I also can get pushed around sometimes.

Happily, Daddy's friend from High School brought some friends to play with me!

After re-introducing ourselves we conspired to OWN the Bouncy House!
I think I see the usefulness of a Big Brother.  They can really lead the way sometimes.
Yeah, no one was going to get in our way as we charged in.  It is all about teamwork sometimes!
Victory Was Ours!

You Can Still Be Hardcore Eating Fruit

Some Sesame Street purists have complained that Cookie Monster is loosing his edge ever since his character bowed to pressure and started eating large amounts of fruits and vegetables along with cookies.

I disagree!  It is impressive to eat massive amounts of fruit also.  You should have seen me in the kitchen today.  Daddy wasn't cutting pears quick enough so I took matters into my own hands just like Cookie Monster would have!
Still, later that night I showed I could eat cookies with as much enthusiasm as well!
I think it is impressive to aggressively eat huge amounts of food at once regardless of what type!
Cookie Monster would be proud of me tonight!

Getting an Upgrade

My Audi was getting a little old . . . it had been over two months since I had gotten a new car.  Well, I did what most Americans do, I rushed out to buy a new one.  Hey, anything is possible with financing!

I walked in the dealership and an hour later I was walking out with a new car, it was great!
Oh my friends are going to be impressed with my new set of wheels!

Neighborhood Biker Gang

This new bike I have is really creating a lot of freedom for me.  Dominic and Me really tore it up on the sidewalk today.

These poles that are attached to the back of our bikes that our Daddies push us around on are kind of restraining but eventually we will be rid of this constraint just like training wheels.
We plotted about ways we could terrorize the neighborhood.  We just need to recruit more toddler to our gang.
We are the Wild Ones!  Watch out Seattle!

Eating . . . It is Important for an Active Life!

I started the day with a gigantic breakfast of cornmeal pancakes.  It was necessary, I had an active day planned!

I had a big tour of the neighborhood to undertake on my bike!
And it was worth it!  It is amazing the freedom that a bike provides.  I didn't know that "Sarge" lived up the street from me!
Of course like a real MAN I finished off the day with some Buffalo Wings.
If you are going to have an active lifestyle it is important to keep yourself adequately fueled.

Regardless of Rain . . . There is Work to be Done!

As a Seattle Toddler I am getting fairly used to the Rain.  Hey, the Rain is what keeps everything green here.  Still, it was my determination that even with the Rain the plants needed a little more water!

It's not worth the risk that the plants could dry-out even with the Rain.
Taking care of Papo and Deeda's garden is a responsibility that I don't take lightly.  I figure better the plants are overfed than starving.

Just doing my part, I figure if I take care of these plants correctly next year I could have a Puppy or at least a Lizard.

Trying To Find Love At Lil' Kickers

There are two things that draw me to Lil' Kickers.  The intense competition and the beautiful girls.  Sadly, sometimes they aren't that receptive to giving me a kiss.

Actually, one of them ended up giving me the "Slant Eye" today.

Thankfully, Aunt Ashley took me out to the park afterwards for some practice endearing myself to women.

She taught me how to give flowers and bark to endear myself first.  After that it might be more appropriate to try and steal a kiss.

I've got to try and remember not to come on so strong at first.

A Birthday Party Cut Short!

I am always one who is happy to drop everything and go to a Birthday Party!

So when I heard my gal Emilie was turning the Big 0-4 I was more than excited for a party!

Yeah, Mommy was getting a bit too close for comfort to her little sister Sarah but I could let it go.  After all I was at a party.  Just as long as she didn't take her home I was fine.
At first it was a bit intimidating with all those older women who were much taller than me but soon I was impressing them with my drawing skills.

So much fun, eating, drinking and socializing!  Well, unfortunately the eating got the better of me.  It isn't my job to monitor what I eat, that responsibility is for my parents.  They must have been having too much fun because all of a sudden I was eating a cake with Almond Milk in it. Can you say Nut Allergy!

Well, that was the end of it.  We were headed home so I could be closer to my Epi Pen!

Talk about having too much fun!

Lame.

Thunder and Lightning!

Oh my, the weather systems I am used to are generally so mild, I didn't expect Thunder and Lightning!

I stayed close to Mommy just in preparation for the lights going out.  Scary!

No way was I going to get out of my jacket either.  If lighting strikes the house I am going to be ready to escape outside at a moments notice!

Thank God for that box of raisins I got to clutch for security.  Hey, considering this is one of my first thunder storms I kept my nerves together pretty well!

Punk Rock Will Never Die!

If you thought punk rock passed away in the mid-1980s you are sorely mistaken.

A whole new generation of Punk Rockers is growing-up and I am going to be one of them.

If you want to see someone truly bust out and create Anarchy don't go to a Sex Pistols concert . . . watch me in the living room!

Unfortunately, letting my hair go wild after a bath is the closest I will come to spiked hair.
Turns out my Mommy is a little more Straight Edge.

I can only dream of what might be!

So Much Fun!

Well, unfortunately the calculator that Papo got me has been taken away.  It was sure fun while it lasted though.  I have toys that are more fun but none of them create the excitement of when it has an electronic malfunction and creates a ringing sound that makes my parents think the fuse box in their house is going to explode.

Well, tonight it finally decided to go out with a blast.  It had Mommy, Daddy, Deeda AND Papo digging all around the house to see what that intense RINGING was??????  I just sat by and watched the mayhem!
When they eventually identified it, the calculator was tossed.  Oh well, for a toy that on the surface wasn't that exciting it sure had hidden potential!

A Very Intense Morning!

Mommy smelled something fishy when she left the house today.  Turns out it was a gas leak!

Oh my, I had never been evacuated before!  Well, that is exactly what Deeda had Auntie Ashley do for me when Mommy called Papo to investigate.

Well, turns out that Puget Sound Energy cleared everything up.

So glad that all the adults in my life aren't lackadaisical when it comes to my safety!  Still, I am a little disappointed they didn't let me help supervise fixing the leak.

Completely Distracting Daddy

Daddy was thinking about catching the NCAA Championship tonight and was thinking about it all through work today.

He figured that one basketball game a year would give him a claim to the TV for a few hours even with Mommy home.  He just didn't count on ME!

Well as soon as he got home it was Daddy! Daddy Daddy!

I wanted to wrestled, bathed, fed!  The list went on and on as I hit Daddy like a little whirlwind.

By the time it was over Daddy had completely forgotten to watch one of the most epic Tournaments ever.

Oh well, not my problem!

Looks Can Be Deceiving

See that cute looking boy in the picture looking so happy and well behaved.

That is my Daddy . . . but the truth behind the photo is that he had been a very naughty boy that day.

Well, look at me a generation later.

Yes, I am very snugly and cute right now as my Daddy reads Curious George but you should have seen me today.  No amount of "Time Outs", Naps and Food could contain me.  I was going to set the terms in the house!

I would say keeping my parents on their toes until bedtime was a victory!

Worms . . . Fascinating But Confusing

A couple of days ago my friend Bailey and I found a worm in the yard.  She didn't want to touch it but I was fascinated by it.  I really wanted to hold it and play with it and maybe even taste it!

Well, Mommy told me I should never under any circumstances eat one.  That is why I am confused.

Daddy didn't have any problem buying me brightly colored Worms at the gas station today.  So I am only supposed to eat Worms that are brightly colored?????

All these strange rules that parents impose on me.

Catching-Up

It is important to keep up with friends . . . even if they live in different cities.

It was so nice to see my friend Addyson for lunch today at Playdate Cafe!  I'm a big fan of a good meal but if you have good company it doesn't matter where you eat.
We had such a good conversation that I didn't even bother to put most of the food in my mouth.  Hey, how do you expect me to hold a conversation, eat and be tickled at the same time?

Reaching For The Sky!

Today was a special day for me.  Mommy and Daddy told me that I was in for a surprise and boy did Papo and Deeda deliver!

I didn't know that the Museum of Flight had so much to offer.  I always have had fantasies about being an astronaut and today I actually had the opportunity.

Oh my, so many planes and so little time.  I wanted to fly everyone of them.
One thing I can guarantee is that I will have some AMAZING dreams tonight.  Good thing I wore myself out so I can sleep a long time!  I was so excited I stayed up an hour past telling Mommy and Daddy about my experience!

Another Birthday Successfully Hijacked!

Well there weren't any balloons or party favors at Daddy's Birthday tonight but that didn't mean I wasn't going to take it over for myself!

The idea that someone would have a Birthday that I wouldn't be the center of is just too much for me to bare!
Well, after a few strong words I was able to start blowing out candles of my own.  I took a few of my Daddy's presents home for myself also.

I wonder whose Birthday this really was for!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
